FREE Meet the Winemaker event this Sunday from 4pm!

We’re super excited to welcome WEINGUT MARIE ADLER to Shoreham for a casual meet, greet & taste. We’ll have some wine open to taste and some on by the glass and bottles to purchase should you so wish.

Our good friend Daphne of Saison Wines introduced us to Marie back in February whilst we were attending La Dive natural wine fair in Saumur, and loved her and her wines from the get go.

So come down, hang out and let’s sip and chat together.

Hi 👋
Good news! Now the evenings are longer, we’ll be open for an extra hour on Wednesdays AND you can DRINK-IN and takeaway. The shop might have boxes everywhere and the by the glass list might not always be totally ready, but it doesn’t seem like you guys really care about that sort of thing, as long as we’re here and something is cold.

Occasionally we may need to shut slightly earlier when there are events on but we’ll let you know.

Generally we close around 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays, but those that know us well, know that this is a little flexible depending how much of a great night you’re all having. (Our licence is actually till midnight but that’s too late for anyone right?)

The lovely Georgi of is visiting at the end of the month to deliver a taste of Central & Eastern Europe, featuring some of our favourite producers from Slovenia, Romania, Greece, Hungary & Bulgaria. Georgi will be bringing some traditional snacks too.

Plus after a small hiatus, Wine Club is back and we’re showcasing Sherry to get you in Summer holiday mode. Not just for your Nan FYI.

We get it guys, wine is confusing. These are just some of the questions that we are faced with every day.

Luckily has written a new book to help you decode everything, and even better, we have several of the wines & producers mentioned in her book available on our shelves. So you can read this book and sip on some icons whilst you do it.

It’s been busy. We’re here for all your drink-in and takeaway needs 10-9pm Friday, & Saturday and 11-5pm Sunday.

Fresh new list of wines by the glass with some new bits and some really fancy stuff too.

We’re excited to host our very first Pintxo Pop-Up with the lovely Claire of Casa Pintxo.
Perhaps you’ve already attended one of Claire’s fabulous night’s with Rob at Chanctonbury Wines in Steyning? Well she’s spreading her tapas wings and flying south to Shoreham to deliver us a taste of the Med. Yay for us.

For our first event, we’re offering a bargain ticket price of just £20 per-person for 5 small plates. It’s our ‘Intro to Pintxo’ special deal! Here at Palate we’ll be offering our usual wines-by-the-glass options with a heavy influence from Spain/Med and a selection of Sherries by the glass. 🔥
