Yesterday the Women In Dairy Shropshire group met up for discussion about all things udders 🐄🥛
Our day was led by the ever amazing Paula Scales of Haywood Farm Vets. We covered A LOT - yet Paula kept us engaged and inputting every step of the way. By opening the floor up to all who attended, everyone was able to input to the conversation and get relevant information in return.
A further thank you goes to Ben and Sam Hargreaves for inviting us into their home at Fields Farm. Throughout our discussion we got to see in action cows accessing the Lely milking robot freely - walking themselves in and out from grass to do so. And of course not forgotting the chaotic trio of pristinely groomed show heifers who added another layer of entertainment to our day.
A final thank you to all who attended for coming along and getting involved. As always with these kinds of meetings, we get out of them as much as we put in.
