We have decided to join Facebook,
I wanted to start by introducing myself... And share a few things I have never shared before.
My name is Jason, 33 originally from sheffield. I'm not sure if you can tell but I love my sweeties! My partner asked me what I want to do as my dream job, I replied "A tiktok sweet shop" Why? I have no idea.. I was obsessed with the idea of interating with people and packing up their orders whilst also trying to build my confidence.
My partner has always wanted to do whatever is best for me. I am not looking for sympathy here but I have struggled with hearing all my life, during covid this was the hardest for me as lip reading is something I relied soley upon and I couldn't do this as it was mandatory to wear masks. Fast forward a few years and in 2023 I opened my online sweet store this wasn't easy as confidence in myself was at an all time low. I went live on tiktok for the first time, I felt as comftable as I could be, for the first time I wasn't relying on my hearing, all I had to do was chat and read the comments, I loved it and became addicted! Within 6 months I had gained 50,000 followers but I had a suprise. My partner booked me an appointment at boots. The lady put the hearing aids in, I broke down, I could hear her pen on paper, peoples feet walking on the ground, bags russling....
Fast forward to today nearly 2 years directing my company I can say it's been one of of the ost challenging things I have ever done, ups and downs, 1 step forward and 3 steps back. But I am grateful and happy. 2 things I never felt before.

My team, my community, my family and my partner are the most important things in my life and I couldn't be in a happier place. Surrounded by sweets and amazing people what more could I ask for?
