Summer Camp 2026

Friday - A adventure across Lake Windermere!

We started at Lakeside and got on the Swan (yes our Swan was very excited!), another boat later we arrived at Brockhole for a play in the park and lunch. Back on another boat to do the trip down to Bowness via Ambleside.

Bowness was Ice cream or pasty time.

Then onto the last boat of the day back to Lakeside - Our Swift was disappointed that it wasn’t on the boat Swift!!

Last night tradition of take away followed by left over puddings of the week!

Summer Camp 2026

Thursday spent the day hiking up Coniston Old Man.

They challenged themselves - 3 groups, 3 routes and they all made it to the top!

A reward was needed, so off to Hawkshead ice cream shop we went - so many choices!!!

Woody joined us for BBQ dinner.

Wednesday - Day trip to Blackpool on the train (1 change at Preston).

First stop, Blackpool’s biggest and best gift shop!

Next, a visit to the Circus!

Final stop, a trip to the top of the tower!

Trip back on the train and dinner.

Monday and Tuesday, we took part in Stand up paddle boarding, Ghyll scramble, Geocache trail and Rock climbing.
One group visited Wild Cat island and learned about Swallows and Amazon - most had never seen the movie so we watched it on Tuesday evening.

A day on site!
We played games, went for a short walk. Made pizzas for lunch.

This evening, our friends at 5th/8th Kendal joined us for a range of activities; tomahawks, games, laser tag and camp cooking of s’mores and duffnuts!
Old friendships renewed and new ones made.
Looking forward to seeing them next year when they come to Bristol.

We have just come back from an amazing but hot weekend at Strategy!

Yesterday, 35 Scouts took part in multiple activities and challenges to earn points in a tough competition.

There was music, food and games in the evenings to keep them busy.

Today they enjoyed inflatables, sports games, crafts, science, bells ring and even a stunt show!

This was the first time taking Scouts to this event and one of them came in the top 3! Team Panther came 2nd in the Hub C challenge and 3rd overall - there were only 50 points between the top 3! They said ‘if we hadn’t got lost for the first hour!’

Back next week for Evolution with the Cubs!
