{AD} Is this the best tiramisu in the North East? 👀

I’ve tried a lot of tiramisu, all over the North East, and I honestly believe that this is the one!

This is the tiramisu at Wild Fire in Sunderland, and honestly, I could have eaten this entire plate ten times over.

Where have you had the BEST tiramisu in the North East?👇

{Not an AD} HOW HAVE WE NEVER TRIED THIS BEFORE?! 👀🥢

Tucked away inside Newcastle’s Grainger Market is Noodle Box & Chinese Burger, a little spot specialising in the food of Xi’an in north-west China 🇨🇳

We’re talking hand-pulled Biang Biang noodles, rich and fiery noodle soups, Xi’an street food and their famous Chinese “burger” made with a crisp flatbread and slow-braised meat.

The Biang Biang noodles are thick, chewy and loaded with flavour, while that Chinese burger is something completely different from the burgers you’ll normally find around Newcastle.

Noodle Box & Chinese Burger was opened by Henry Lei Xu, who is originally from Xi’an, with the aim of bringing authentic Xi’an cuisine to Newcastle.

And somehow, despite being right in the middle of one of Newcastle’s best known food destinations, it feels like it doesn’t get anywhere near the attention it deserves online.

So if you’re looking for Chinese food in Newcastle, Xi’an food in Newcastle, somewhere different to eat in Grainger Market, or you’ve never tried Biang Biang noodles or a Chinese burger (roujiamo) before, then add this one to your list. 👀

{Not an AD} Is this Newcastle’s best curry? 👀🍛

Simla Restaurant Newcastle has recently been named Best of Newcastle at the 2026 English Curry Awards, so obviously, we had to go and find out if it really deserves the title.

Simla has been part of Newcastle’s food scene since 1981, making it one of the city’s long standing Indian restaurants, and after all these years, it’s just picked up one of the biggest curry awards going. 🏆

So what’s the food actually like?

We tried a selection of Simla’s Indian curries, and there were definitely some standout dishes. 👀

But here’s the question, is Simla really the best curry in Newcastle?

WOULD YOU GET YOUR COFFEE THROUGH A HOLE IN THE WALL? 👀☕️

Plasér Specialty Coffee is a tiny takeaway coffee spot in the heart of Seville where you literally order your coffee or matcha through a hole in the wall.

And the wall itself is covered in messages, drawings and signatures from people who’ve visited from all over the world.

We went for an iced coffee and matcha, but Plasér is all about specialty coffee, matcha and creative drinks, with everything made to take away.

It’s at Calle Cuna 42, Seville, right in the historic centre, and it’s already become one of the city’s most talked about viral coffee spots.

Definitely not your traditional Spanish café experience… but that’s exactly why we had to try it. 🇪🇸
