No frosting. No distraction. Just pure historical flavor baked into this yummy goodness ☺️. We infuse sun-dried sumac into the lemon sponge batter. Romans used it as “citrus” 2000 years ago. The result: delicate tartness, aromatic depth, crumb that melts.

Hand-baked in South Yorkshire lemon sponge infused with Roman sumac.

Quick history… Before lemons reached Europe, Romans prized sumac — sun-dried crimson berries ground to aromatic powder — for elegant citrus tartness.

At IBK’S TREATS we love elevating flavours so we baked this amazing historical spice directly into every crumb so the flavor runs through the whole loaf.

Bright, aromatic, never sour. Tender crumb, clean finish.

Sumac: the ancient citrus spice Romans prized 2000 years ago, before lemons arrived. Delicately tart, aromatic, baked right into the cake and topped with melts in your mouth softcream.
