🌾 Arable Harvest 2026 ✅🌾

Like farms up and down the country, we’ve officially wrapped up arable harvest for another year, with the last of the crop brought in over the weekend.

☀️ Dry conditions meant everything came in quickly, with no need for drying or extra fuel
🌿 All straw is now baled
🌧️ Now we’re hoping for some rain to help get next year’s crop off to a great start

Next up: oilseed r**e drilling next month, followed by potato harvest in the coming weeks 🥔, and yes, we’re hoping for a bit more rain before that gets underway too!

Thank you to the whole team for their hard work and commitment this harvest.

Based between Nafferton and Goole, you'll be driving modern vehicles delivering a variety of agricultural products across the UK. Every day is different, with the opportunity to work across both JSR Farms and Isuria.

As for many this year, harvest is ahead of schedule! 🌾🚜

Oilseed r**e (OSR) harvest complete with yields averaging 4.5 to 5 tonnes per hectare.
🌾 Wheat harvest now well underway.

The combines are rolling, the weather has been on our side, and the team is making the most of the conditions. Above all wishing everyone a safe harvest for 2026.

Great to see the next generation of environmental work taking shape at JSR 🌱
Since joining us in August 2025, Will Heap has been getting stuck into life at JSR Farms, in particular at the Chalk Stream Sanctuary, helping to monitor wildlife, map habitats and support our long-term conservation work.
Working alongside Mark Richardson, who has spent over 45 years at JSR and has helped shape our environmental stewardship. It’s been brilliant to see knowledge and experience being passed on.
From wetlands and grasslands to woodland and chalk streams, the work happening here is already making a real difference for biodiversity.

We’re also now supporting projects beyond JSR, offering ecological surveys and advice to help others enhance habitats and deliver Biodiversity Net Gain.
