White Hart Returns: Celebrating 20 Years of The Tobie Norris 🍺
The Tobie Norris turns 20 this December, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than by bringing back our iconic White Hart beer. First brewed in 2005 for Knead Pubs by Michael’s Brewery (Ufford Ales), White Hart became woven into the story of The Tobie Norris until the brewery sadly closed in 2012.
On 24 April, we took our landlords from The Crown Hotel, The Tobie Norris, and Paten & Co to Nene Valley Brewery to bring White Hart back to life brewed once again to the original recipe. It was a proud day at the brewery. We were joined by Will Fry of Nene Valley Brewery the original landlord who opened The Tobie Norris and a key member of the Ufford Ales brewing team alongside Simon Raines, who was Head Brewer at Ufford Ales. Also, there were Matt Williamson, the current landlord of The Tobie Norris, and Nick Buttress, Knead Pubs Operations Manager and Executive Chef, who was Head Chef at The Tobie Norris alongside Will Fry when the pub opened in 2006. We were also joined by Michael Thurlby, owner of Knead Pubs.
White Hart will be available across all our venues from May, bringing back a taste of nostalgia—and a very special piece of our history.
