It’s time to ‘bun’ up for another Food Hygiene Friday 🍔🥯

Proving that their food hygiene standards are simply the ‘beast’ this week is Beasty Baps, located on Blunder Lock in Easington. As a brand‑new business, the question was whether they were ‘bready’ or not for their very first food hygiene inspection. It may have felt like a real ‘bap’tism of fire, but this team was clearly on a ‘roll’ and rose to the occasion with a top‑tier food hygiene rating of 5 ⭐

Officers found great practices and procedures in place, with strong standards of structure and cleanliness throughout. The only messy hands here belong to customers enthusiastically getting stuck into some truly beasty baps.

So it’s a big Food Hygiene Friday shout‑out and a well‑earned round of ‘bap’plause for Beasty Baps 👏

P.S. We apologise once again for the crumb‑y puns. Our Food Safety Officers inspect around 1,200 food businesses across the district to help keep residents safe, standards high and the puns delightfully dreadful.

With hopefully the nicer weather coming in, we are making cold Beasty Baps too. Choose from tuna salad, cheese salad, coronation chicken and more. We look forward to seeing you 😊
