Lovely workshop yesterday pruning some of the old fruit trees in Bishopstone. We did some limb reductions to help make sure the trees are with us for longer. Also collected lots of scion wood. One tree had loads of Mistletoe and some of the fruit was ripe enough to harvest from. Mistletoe is a wonderful wildlife plant with and being a couple of dependent species.

It’s not too late to take hardwood cuttings. We’ve been taking blackcurrant and sea buckthorn cuttings. Also a good time...

It’s not too late to take hardwood cuttings. We’ve been taking blackcurrant and sea buckthorn cuttings. Also a good time to transplant any suckers from sea buckthorn or even suckering rootstocks that you can graft onto in the spring or summer.
