Fifteen years ago, Maria and I took a leap of faith and started Condor with a simple idea: to share the wines, people and places of South America with wine lovers in the UK.

What followed has been an incredible journey.

We've travelled thousands of miles, discovered remarkable wines, built lasting friendships and had the privilege of working with some of the most passionate producers, merchants and hospitality professionals in the industry.

Along the way, we've learned that wine is never just about what's in the bottle. It's about people, relationships and shared experiences.

Reaching this milestone is something we're enormously proud of β€” but it's also something we're incredibly grateful for.

To our customers, suppliers, producers, colleagues and friends: thank you for your support, trust and partnership over the last 15 years.

You have all played a part in the Condor story. We couldn't have done it without you.

And while today is an opportunity to celebrate how far we've come, we're just as excited about what comes next.

Here's to the next chapter, the next discovery and the next 15 years of sharing South America - and beyond - through wine. 🍷

With thanks,

Lee & the Condor team

πŸŽ‰ Condor at 15: Looking beyond the horizon πŸŽ‰

Over the last 15 years, our journey has taken us from Argentina πŸ‡¦πŸ‡· to Chile πŸ‡¨πŸ‡± and Uruguay πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Ύ, always guided by the same spirit of curiosity and discovery.

This year, that journey entered a new chapter.

With the launch of Flight of the Condor, we welcomed Ant Moore Wines and Mt. Beautiful Winery to the portfolio, bringing New Zealand πŸ‡³πŸ‡Ώ into the Condor story for the very first time.

On the surface, it might seem like a departure. In reality, it felt surprisingly familiar.

Just as we were drawn to South America's diverse landscapes, distinctive regions and pioneering producers, we found the same qualities in New Zealand. Two wineries with a strong sense of place, a commitment to sustainable viticulture and a passion for crafting wines that authentically express where they come from.

Because while the map may have expanded, the values haven't changed.

Looking back over 15 years, every step of the journey has started with a simple question: what might we discover if we're willing to look a little further?

Flight of the Condor is the latest answer to that question.

And if the last 15 years have taught us anything, it's that there are always new stories to tell, new regions to explore and new producers to champion.

Here's to the next adventure. 🍷

🍷 A wine inspired by a shared spirit of exploration 🍷

As we've reflected on 15 years of Condor, one theme keeps emerging: a desire to look beyond the obvious, explore new places and discover the stories that make South American wine so special.

That's exactly why La Cava de Karim Mussi was the obvious partner when it came to creating our anniversary wine.

Few winemakers have done more to champion Argentina's diverse terroirs. Throughout his career, Karim has been tireless in his quest to capture the purest expression of place.

The result is Tres Tierras Malbec.

Created exclusively for Condor's 15th anniversary, it brings together Malbec from three very different regions β€” Salta, the Uco Valley and Patagonia β€” each contributing its own personality to the final blend.

It's a wine that celebrates not just Argentina's diversity, but the shared values that have shaped our longstanding friendship with Karim: curiosity, innovation, terroir awareness and a belief that the most exciting wines are often found by looking a little further.

Fifteen years of exploration, captured in one bottle.

Here's to the people, places and partnerships that make the journey worthwhile. 🍷

πŸŽ‰ Condor at 15: Going off the beaten track πŸŽ‰

By 2019, we'd built strong partnerships in Argentina πŸ‡¦πŸ‡· and Chile πŸ‡¨πŸ‡±. But one thing had never changed: our belief that the most exciting discoveries often lie just beyond the obvious.

That's what led us to Uruguay πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Ύ.

Still one of South America's most under-the-radar wine countries, Uruguay wasn't a market many importers were actively exploring. But the more we learned, the more we felt it deserved a place in our portfolio.

Enter Bodega Familia Traversa.

A family-owned winery with deep roots, a commitment to sustainable viticulture and a passion for sharing Uruguay's unique wine culture with the world, they embodied everything we look for in a producer.

Adding Uruguay wasn't about following a trend. It was about staying true to the spirit that has guided Condor from the beginning: being curious, exploring beyond the familiar and championing wines with a genuine sense of place.

Six years on, we're still proud to be introducing customers to the wines of Familia Traversa β€” and to the country that continues to surprise and delight those willing to discover it.

Here's to curiosity, discovery and taking the road less travelled. 🍷

As we celebrate 15 years of Condor Wines, we're delighted to have been named a finalist in the 2026 International Wine Challenge Industry Awards πŸŽ‰

Having previously won the Specialist category in 2019 and 2022, being shortlisted once again feels like a wonderful recognition of the relationships, dedication and shared passion that have shaped our journey.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the story so far β€” we'll be keeping our fingers crossed for September 8th 🀞!

πŸŽ‰ Condor at 15: Crossing the Andes πŸŽ‰

By 2014, Condor had established itself as an Argentina πŸ‡¦πŸ‡· specialist. But our ambition was always bigger than a single country.

That year, our first shipment from Chile πŸ‡¨πŸ‡± arrived β€” marking an exciting new chapter in our journey of sharing South America through wine.

Among the producers in that shipment were ViΓ±a Hacienda Araucano and Vinos Toro de Piedra , two wineries that remain part of the Condor family today.

While their wines are very different, they share something that has become increasingly important to us over the years: a commitment to responsible viticulture. From Requingua's certified sustainable vineyards to Hacienda Araucano's organic and biodynamic approach, both producers have long demonstrated that quality and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand.

Looking back, that first Chile shipment wasn't just about adding new wines to the portfolio. It was about broadening our horizons, discovering new regions and building relationships with producers who shared our values.

Fifteen years on, we're proud that those partnerships continue to thrive.

Here's to crossing borders, discovering new perspectives and sharing more of South America's incredible diversity. 🍷
