GARLIC AND BLACK PEPPER CHICKEN 🧄

To make your sauce (per portion):
- 15ml soy sauce
- 10g runny honey
- 8g ketchup
- 8g sriracha / hot sauce -
- 3 minced garlic cloves
- good sprinkle of sesame seeds-
- 1 tspn crushed black pepper
- sprinkle of ginger
- Chinese five spice

Cook your chicken breast in salt and pepper with some cumin seeds. When almost done add your peppers, onion and chilli (optional) and stir fry. Add your sauce and cook until thicken and your chicken is cooked through. I served with rice

BUTTER CHICKEN CURRY 🍗🧈

Okay i’m not joking this was unreal. I have wanted to make this for so long but was nervous in case I’d get it wrong. But honestly it was so simple, just takes a bit of prep and patience.

Method -
Dice your chicken breast and marinate in 0% yogurt, turmeric, cumin powder, chilli flakes, chilli powder, ginger powder, garlic powder, garam masala, curry powder, salt.
Leave in the fridge for 30 minutes or more to marinate.

In a pan, fry butter or ghee, and add 1 bay leaf (or 2 small), 1 star anise, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder (or a cinnamon stick would be better - I didn’t have any but powder is fine). When fragrant, add half a diced white onion and let it sweat down. Your kitchen will be smelling 😮‍💨 at this point. Add a good tablespoon of tomato purée and mix.
Add your chicken and cook until almost done.
Add a tin of chopped or diced tomatoes.
Add single or double cream (I used single), and cook until all combined and slightly reduced and thickened.

I added a good handful of chopped fresh coriander and a sprinkle more to garnish, and served with washed basmati rice

Honestly unreal I could have eaten the whole thing again, i’m happy with this one and will now be a go to.

⚠️I measured here with my heart 🤣 15g butter per person, and about a teaspoon of each seasoning. I used 70g dried rice person. This all took me up approx 780 calories person

CHICKEN GYOZAS 🥟

I found these babies at and safe to say they hit the spot. I love gyozas so much and these are so simple to make so perfect for this heatwave when you don’t want to be in the kitchen too long!

The back of the packet gives you a few different ways to cook them and I went for frying for 5 minutes, added water, add a lid and cook until the water evaporates.

I served mine with noodles and homemade teriyaki sauce and was a perfect treat over the weekend🍜

CHINESE STYLE ORANGE CHICKEN 🍊🧡

This is so simple to make and honestly packed with sooo much flavour 😋

For two portions, I butterflied and diced to chicken breast and added to a wok with half a roughly chopped white onion. Fry until your onions have softened and add 1 green chilli and 4 smashed garlic cloves

I seasoned with cumin, pepper, Chinese five spice, chilli powder and just a pinch of salt

For your sauce mix, I used 15ml dark soy sauce, juice 1 orange, 10g honey, a few drops of fish sauce (optional) and 10g sriracha hot sauce. I then added a pinch of white pepper, cayenne and garlic powder

To the chicken, add 1 chicken stock cube and a good glug of water and let this cook down. I then added sugar snap peas and added my orange sauce mix

Cook down until your sauce has thickened and serve with rice and top with sesame seeds

We are moving!! 🤩 Due to some busy weekends coming up, all items used to create your orders have now started being packed away. I’ve been fairly behind on promoting Homemade By H due to finalising this house move we have waited so long for! We’re now only a month away and this will be picked up when we’re in a bigger space with more space to hold more stock! 😍

Honey, garlic and chilli chicken 😮‍💨

Using homemade chilli oil, this honestly is SO good and SO simple to make, anyone can do it. I added a few sesame seeds for a *chefs kiss* photo and a bit of extra flavour but this is totally optional.

Per portion:
200g chicken breast
75g (dry) basmati rice
100g red pepper
50g red onion
1 tsp chilli and garlic oil
15g clear honey
5ml light soy sauce
Splash of water to loosen the sauce

591 calories 😍 to up your calorie intake, using a few more teaspoons of oil and butter to fry your chicken and veg or increase your rice portion.
