In 1936, a single wedding gift of a pre-phylloxera wine changed the destiny of an entire region. 🍷

When Lulu Tempier married Lucien Peyraud, Lucien made it his mission to restore the Mourvèdre grape to its rightful place in Bandol, championing quality over quantity. He cycled through occupied France to lobby for the region, eventually earning Bandol its AOC status in 1941 and cementing his legacy as the "Godfather of Bandol."

While Lucien laid the viticultural foundations, Lulu’s extraordinary cooking drew the global culinary elite, including Alice Waters and Richard Olney, turning Domaine Tempier into a cultural icon. It even earned the praise of Robert Parker, who called it the "Latour of the region."

Today, we are thrilled to offer the 2023 BANDOL Cuvée Classique 'Lulu & Lucien' as a Pre-Shipment offer. A blend of 75% Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsault, and Carignan, it is a vintage of pure pleasure. Expect deep notes of plum, spice, and earthiness with a brilliant, energetic finish.

We have just 50 cases available. Tap the link in our bio to secure your allocation.

(Please note: Full terms and conditions for buying in-bond or pre-shipment can be found on our website via the link).

A huge thank you to everyone who made the recent NSPCC Fine Wine Challenge our biggest one yet! 🥂✨

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised in excess of £250,000 for Childline. To put that into perspective, it costs £46,000 a day to run Childline, meaning last night's efforts will keep this vital service going for nearly six days.

A massive shoutout to our dedicated L&S staff who expertly poured over 2,500 glasses in just one hour, to our quizzer extraordinaire Andrew Hooper, and to the magnificent Matthew Jukes for keeping the room (mostly) under control as our MC!

If you attended and want a reminder of the brilliant wines we tasted, or if you simply want to try them at home, here is the lineup:

🍾 Reception: Gonet-Médeville Tradition Brut 1er Cru NV
🤍 Whites: Domaine Delaporte Sancerre Silex Chavignol '23 | Domaine Barraud Saint Véran Les Pommards '22 | Alberelli di Giodo Carricante '23 | Salomon Undhof Riesling Ried Kögl '23
🍷 Reds: Clos de La Roilette Fleurie Cuvée Tardive '23 | Domaine Fernand & Laurent Pillot Pommard Tavannes '20 | Domaine Santa Duc Gigondas Clos Derrière Vieille '20 | Barale Fratelli Barolo Castellero '20

(Bonus: Matthew Jukes also highly recommended the 2021 Tassinaia Castello del Terriccio, which his wife Amelia recently declared her "wine of the day" at the River Cafe!)

You can mix and match any of these online to unlock our 12-bottle discount on our website. Link in Linktree above. Cheers to a spectacular night!

There is a distinct thrill in discovering a wine that severely over-delivers for its price. Meet , run by brothers Arturo and K**e de Miguel, who are the darlings of the Rioja new wave. They have abandoned the heavy, vanilla-oak style of the past in favour of pure, vibrant, and utterly drinkable fruit.

Their relentless pursuit of terroir is paying off, leading Spanish wine critic Tim Atkin MW recently awarded their top cuvée a historic, perfect 100 points. It was the first time a Rioja red had ever achieved this feat!

While that specific 100-point wine is rarer than hens' teeth , we have curated a unique 6-bottle Mixed Case that brings this world-class pedigree straight to your mid-week table. From the joyous, carbonic 2023 Artuke Rioja to the high-altitude, precision-driven 2021 Paso Las Mañas grown at 720 metres, this case is an invitation to taste the true, unmasked landscape of the Rioja Alavesa.

This is the ultimate way to stock your rack with everyday luxury. Hit the link in our bio to explore the mixed case! 🍷

A huge congratulations to our customers who were recognized at last night’s Michelin Guide Ceremony 2026! 🌟

It is incredible to see such diverse talent rewarded, and we are thrilled to raise a glass to the new stars on the map:

⭐⭐ Two Stars:
: Jason Atherton and Spencer Metzger have created something truly theatrical on Savile Row. From the kitchen island bites to the impeccable 15-course tasting menu, this is precision dining at its finest.

: Taking over the legendary Le Gavroche site was never going to be easy, but Matt has made it his own. A well-deserved accolade for a menu that blends French technique with a lighter, modern touch.

⭐ One Star:
: Clare Smyth’s luxury bistro in Chelsea is pure joy. We can’t get enough of the playful takes on British classics (that Sherry Trifle! 🍮).

: Nieves Barragán Mohacho does it again. Bringing the soul of Spain to Shoreditch—celebrating the legacy of regional cooking and lesser-known dishes.

: Jonny Lake and Isa Bal have reignited the old Met Bar space with a fire-led menu and, naturally, an exceptional wine list that puts the "bom" in Labombe.

: The JK S team capturing the spirit of Punjabi "party mansions" in Mayfair. Opulent, generous, and home to some serious spices: The JKS team capturing the spirit of Punjabi "party mansions" in Mayfair. Opulent, generous, and home to some serious spice.

A massive well done to all, and to our many friends and partners who retained their stars last night. It is a privilege to supply you. 🥂

The art of the school night glass. 🍷✨

We all know the Tuesday dilemma: you want a glass of something truly good, a Chassagne-Montrachet or a Langhe Nebbiolo, but opening a full bottle feels like a commitment.

Enter the brilliance of the half-bottle (37.5cl).

We have curated a new collection of 12 halves from our favourite growers. These aren't leftovers; they are the exact same wines from producers like Domaine Delaporte, Fernand & Laurent Pillot, and Andrea Oberto, simply scaled for the sensible evening.

Whether you are looking for the perfect portion with zero waste or want to turn your dining table into a tasting flight of Europe, this is the smart way to drink better, not more.

Explore the collection via the link in our bio.

The Art of the January Reset. ❄️🍷

There is a distinct paradox to drinking wine this time of year. While the weather remains undeniably winter, demanding bubbling stews and roaring fires, our palates often start to crave something brighter.

For our Winter Celebration Collection, we’ve curated 12 bottles that thread this needle perfectly. These are wines that offer the comfort of winter, but with a distinct breath of fresh air.

From the horse-powered viticulture of Illahe Vineyards in Oregon (fitting, as 2026 is the Year of the Horse!) to the wild energy of old-vine Chenin from the Swartland, these bottles are designed to wake up your palate without weighing you down.

Whether you are looking for a sparkling Franciacorta to rival Champagne or a juicy Californian GSM, discover the collection that balances comfort with energy.

The Puligny Anomaly. 🍷🗺️

We all know Puligny-Montrachet as the holy ground of Chardonnay. But tucked away between the village and the road lies a specific lieu-dit called Les Prés de la Dame ('The Lady's Meadows').

Here, the soil is that famous limestone-clay mix, but the vines are Pinot Noir. Because the world demands white wine from Puligny, these red grapes are effectively "declassified" to the regional label.

Produced by the Gutrin twins at , this is a single-terroir wine that punches well above its weight. Farmed with their horse, Titan, to avoid soil compaction, this is energetic, sustainable winemaking at its best.

Think wild strawberries, high-toned brightness, and a saline finish. It’s the perfect January tonic for those who love outsmarting the system: Village-level provenance for a regional price.

Christmas dinner is the most important meal of the year, so we decided to leave the wine selection to an expert. We asked Adam Byatt, Chef Patron of the Michelin-starred Trinity in Clapham, to choose the six wines he will be serving on his own table this Christmas.

Adam has curated a complete 'Christmas Day Timeline' in a box, covering every moment from the morning cork pop to the final mince pie .

The Morning Celebration: The day begins with the Gonet-Médeville Blanc de Noirs, a grower Champagne that Adam selects for that essential 'celebration time' when you first wake up.

The Starters: For the table, Adam has chosen two stunning whites. Ideally paired with smoked salmon, the 2022 Anjou 'Ronceray' from Château de Plaisance offers a saline crispness. Alternatively, for a classic prawn cocktail, he recommends a 'nice glass of Chardonnay' provided by the 2021 Saint-Véran 'Les Pommards' from Domaine Barraud.

The Main Event: For the turkey, Adam skips the heavy reds in favor of the 2020 Marsannay 'Héritage' from Domaine Huguenot. He calls this Pinot Noir 'absolutely perfect' for roast turkey, lighter enough not to overpower the bird but with enough structure to stand up to the trimmings.

The Finish: Moving onto the cheese course, the 'big guns' come out with the 2020 Gigondas 'Aux Lieux-Dits' from Domaine Santa Duc, offering a 'bigger, fuller' profile. Finally, for the Christmas pudding and mince pies, Adam finishes with a glass of 'liquid gold': the 2021 Monbazillac from Château Tirecul la Gravière.

This is a proper chef’s selection: thoughtful, delicious, and ready to go.

It was with great sadness that we learned on Tuesday of the death of Emmanuel Reynaud, with whom L&S had worked at Château des Tours for over twenty years, and at Château Rayas more recently as well. Emmanuel defined the word enigmatic, but he was a thoughtful and charismatic winemaker who preferred life in the shadows (or rather in his vineyards) to being in the glare of the wine world’s spotlight. His global following amongst merchants, journalists and wine lovers is the monument to what he achieved, and we are proud to have worked with him for so long. Our hearts are thoughts go out to all his family and close friends at this difficult time.
