Rosebud Alpacas (2026)

Candy & Keanu have been weaned from their mums and are now eating hard feed, we do this in a small pen so that they can eat in peace and the adults can’t muscle in on their food.

The pen ( or a shelter) is also ideal for halter training as they’re used to going in there to be fed. I wait until they’re familiar with me being in there too to make training a natural progression with some desensitisation to me being close, approaching them & touching them.

My style of training with any animal is to gradually make it part of their routine so that it is as stress free as possible 🦙

Shearing is on the horizon and hopefully some fleece shows 🤞

Perfect weather for washing & drying fleece for the next rug commission. We use a tiny amount of environmentally friendly soap, harvested rain water and Devon sunshine 🌞

We are now in the position to release some of the Rosebud alpacas to new homes as we are bursting at the seams!!

A frequently asked question..’what are alpacas good for?’….here is just a few examples….

1) LUXURY FIBRE which is hypoallergenic, natural, warm, fire retardant, environmentally friendly, strong but soft & sustainable. 🦙

2) THERAPY - alpacas are ideal for therapeutic work, our herd created various wellbeing activities such as ‘alpaca yoga’. 🦙

3) PETS - they make great lawnmowers and are perfect field ornaments, they’re light on the land and don’t challenge fencing ( unlike sheep & goats). 🦙

4) PLANNING PERMISSION - we achieved permission to build a house due to our successful alpaca business.

5) LAMB & POULTRY GUARDS - our herd have been protective of our lambs and also live with our hens, this has been successful in deterring foxes. 🦊

Boys & girls available!! 🦙🦙

Boys - we have halter trained boys with award winning genetics. We have quality males for breeding, retired studs, boys suitable as pets, for therapy work or alpaca walking.

Girls - we have quality breeding females with award winning genetics. We also have a group of non breeding females ready for a retirement home.

Anybody interested in purchasing a starter herd from us with the hope of gaining planning for their dream home will receive our support.

Rosebud Dallas is a very sweet guy, super calm, friendly and halter trained. He is nearly 3 years old and would be great as a pet, for therapy or a walking alpaca.

Rosebud C**t is a very cute yearling, he is maturing nicely, is full of character, is calm, friendly & halter trained. He is mostly known for his pretty eyelashes! Butter wouldn’t melt!

This is the first of Valentino's sons to be available for a new home. We can provide more photos and of course a farm visit is encouraged.
