One of our tractors was entered in the 2025 Banbury tractor run this year in aid of Katherine House Hospice. Thanks to John Taylor-Green (decorator and driver). We were tractor number 34.

SUSPECTED DOG ATTACK 16/11/25. Our sheep are currently grazing on a field between Wyck Rissington and Bourton on the Water beside the river Dikler. There is a footpath running through the centre of the field and it is divided with electric fence. Came to check them this morning and found a small bunch very spooked 2 fields over. The rest were still behind the electric fence which was down on one corner and we found one with a badly broken back leg. Now at vets trying to get it sorted. I just wish people would keep their dogs on a lead around sheep. If anyone saw anything please let me know.

Fortunately not us this time but it must be the most horrific thing for a shepherd to find. Having given your flock the love and care they need for the best life. Then someone walks their dog off the lead to attack them. Leaving some maimed, some dead and the rest traumatised.
For god's sake dog owners, keep your dogs on a lead around livestock.

That's the first 25 acres of baling done today with our D800 baler behind a Massey Ferguson 4710. The D800 was one of the first big balers produced by New Holland back in the early 90s. We've had this baler since 2012 and it has been very reliable. The knotter always gives a bit of trouble until the rust rubs off but then it will pretty much run trouble free all season. Producing over 1000 bales for us annually.

Thought we'd finished lambing but always had our suspicions about this one. One is a bit small and cold so warming with a hot water bottle and will need a dose of colostrum.

I recognise that tractor. Thanks Alfie.

After over 24hrs of continuous rain the fields finally could take no more. With 8" of water coming into our yard and workshop. Will need to wait until the levels go down before the cleanup operation can start.

Had our first ever issue with a dog worrying our sheep. A terrier loose in our field of ewes chased 4 through the perimeter electrified fence and into a deep ditch. The deep ditch prevented the dog from actually getting to them. Thank you to Mark for rescuing them. Fortunately they were not yet in lamb or it could have led to aborted lambs. WILL DOG OWNERS PLEASE PUT THEIR DOGS ON LEADS WHEN NEAR SHEEP.
