Next pear flavour and back by popular demand! 🍐 Pear, Date and Walnut. This is a luxurious, indulgent Chutney, the dates caramelise, and the chunks of walnut provide the perfect bite for use with a soft cheese. My lovely neighbour gave me this gorgeous bag of pears! 🍐 they are perfectly ripe. First flavour made from them is a mix of pears and lovely handpicked orchard apples 🍏(thanks uncle Bob). This one has a small kick with beautiful homegrown chillies 🌶️ (thanks Chrissy) and the warmth of five spice. So all in all a very home grown chutney which makes me very happy! Our next event is the fabulous Wells Food Festival come and see us and many more amazing artisan food producers in the beautiful city of Wells next Sunday 11th October from 10am 💚🌱

Thank you so much to everyone who came and had a chat with us yesterday- we had such a wonderful day and really appreciated the interest in our products.

Another Autumnal flavour to add to the collection. Apple and Blackberry chutney, spiced with cinnamon and mixed spice to give that delicious seasonal, warm flavour. Super fruity. Perfect to go with a soft cheese. Apples donated by my very own brother who has a small Somerset Orchard (thanks uncle Bob!) and blackberries all handpicked from the hedgerows. 🍏 🍂 Come and have a taste in Wells Cathedral at the Wells Cheese and C***r festival on Saturday 26th from 12pm until 8pm ***randcheesefestival

This week I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather, expect like most of us all - I’m perhaps stretching myself a bit too thin! Am now starting to feel human again, but my daily dog walks have kept me going. (And some Elderberry tonic!) This week I’ve been gathering Sloes, blackberries, hawthorns and very spikey Rosehips. Ready to get cooking again at the weekend!
I’ve got the best guard while I’m in the bushes 🐶💚
Next weekend we will be in Wells Cathedral for the cheese and c***r show with lots of new flavours ☺️ ***randcheesefestival

This week I have mostly been chopping Mangelwurzel, beetroot and celeriac to make Mangelwurzel and Horseradish relish. Heavier on the horseradish this time (after talking to many lovely customers about the strength of this and being a bit braver!) our next event is the Wells C***r and Cheese festival on Saturday 26th September (we are in the Cathedral and am so excited about this!) so many other artisan producers there - it’ll be such a lovely event I’m sure! 🌱💚 ***randcheesefestival

Hedgerow Ketchup! Made from crab apples, blackberries, elderberries, hawthorns and sloes, thickened to the correct consistency with fallen apples, and I’m proud to say there is no added sugar AT ALL!! Just the fruits own natural sweetness is enough to make this perfect as a condiment for dunking. Full of goodness, none of the nasties normally present in its supermarket equivalent ☺️☺️☺️ Come along to Clevedon Sunday Market this week for a bottle 🌱💚 The Clevedon Sunday Market
