It’s been a fabulous year so far for Dolphins on our beautiful Whitby coastline!😃
Superb ‘aqua marine’ mineral rich ‘super salty’ seawater on Whitby’s coast!😃
Packed full of fantastic marine life!😃
We collect our super salty, super tasty 100% natural electrolyte packed Whitby Sea Salt from these very same waters!😃
Collected in our old wooden Coble ‘SeaSalt’ built in 1963 from the exact same spot every time in and amongst ‘our’ ever growing super healthy kelp ‘forest’ the wealth of marine life know just how good these waters are!😃
We dry our Whitby Sea Salt using just the wind and the sun just as nature intended, this process takes longer but it’s very important, it locks in all those sea minerals, electrolytes and trace elements essential for ‘life’!😃

OUT WITH THE DOLPHINS!😃
They’ve been with us almost every time we’ve gone out for our seawater so far this summer!😃
It’s a very special moment every time!😃
Our fabulous and beautiful Whitby Coastline is packed full of wildlife which makes going to ‘work’ in SeaSalt to collect our mineral rich sea water an absolute pleasure, even on the dull days😃
Once our seawater is collected we’ll head back to shore but our eyes are ‘peeled’ and heads on a ‘swivel’ for always that one more encounter!😃

WATERS ARE NEARLY UP!
Today SeaSalt will be blessed along with others in the harbour by Whitby’s RNlI Station Chaplain at 2.30pm.
This Blessing of the Boats dates back to 1948 and has become a very valued Whitby custom.
The Blessing of the Boats honours those lost at sea and also offers prayers for a safe and successful year ahead at sea for all those involved in the maritime environment.
We’re certainly looking forward to showing our respect and to be blessed.

Hand crafted and nurtured over 4 weeks, it’s important, so we do it, using just the wind and sun to produce a premium slow dissolving salt that imparts the fabulous flavour of the sea but will also give you an explosion of flavour just when you want it!
Packed full of electrolytes and sea minerals too, all the ‘stuff’ your body wants and needs to function at its best!
Did you know using the lengthy drying process of the wind and sun is the best way to lock in all those electrolytes and sea minerals!
Speeding up the drying process with other heat sources reduces the electrolyte and sea mineral content!
