Big Red 1 Electric, let’s take a look at his sire….

Electric is sired by Cogent Signature Beef sire Gouldingpoll 1 Duncan 💪💪💪💪💪

Duncan bred in the renowned Gouldingpoll herd in Ireland is sired by Gouldingpoll 1 Superduty who is sired by the famous Remitall Super Duty 4S and is a son of the well known Dorepoll 1 R51 Duchess 525 cow (2 time National Hereford Champion in Ireland), who has also bred championship winning sons and daughters

Duncan has been used in top herds across the UK and his progeny have started to make themselves known on the show and sale circuit, to include RM 1 Starlet (Reserve Supreme, Reserve Female & Junior Female Champion at the Borderway Agri Expo Hereford Calf Show) and Pulham 1 Olive 9th, sold for 4100gns at the 2025 Designer Genes Sale at just over 11 months of age.

Duncan breeds cattle with great growth & phenotype, Electric is no exception to this 💪💪

Let’s take a deep dive into Big Red 1 Electrics Dam line….. it’s fair to say it’s loaded with exciting genetics 🧬

Electric’s Dam, Mairwen 1 Echo, herself sired by Dendor 1 Sugar Ray who is sired by the legendary Dendor 1 Nairobi, who has bred tremendously to include many prize winning cattle in herds across the UK, including the 2024 National Poll Show Overall Champion, Remostone 1 Alpha.

Echo was bred from Greenyards 1 Echo P435, who’s lineage traces back to the great Dendor herd and their Echo cow family that has bred so well for them to include Dendor 1 Echo 36th ( reserve female champion at the 2018 national calf show) who bred Dendor 1 Echo 39th (pictured) who sold for 4,600gns at 9 months of age in 2021 & Dendor 1 Cruzcampo (pictured) who was Junior Male Champion at the 2025 National calf show.

Big Red 1 Electric’s full sister can be seen here at just under 3 months of age, with Electric’s Dam Mairwen 1 Echo…… we thought a lot of Electric as a calf and still do, so opted to breed Echo the same way again, but to female sexed semen, where she held 1st time….. just goes to show that this is a mating that works 💪💪💪
