The top left photo is our own domatesli bulgur pilav that we make often at home. The reason we make it so often is great flavour and texture, it's healthy and - as you can see in the other photos of our collage - it's great served with kebabs in local restaurants. And sometimes seen on local boat trips, too (bottom right). :)

'Tis the season of the pomegranate! 🥰
This article is all things pomegranate - including how to peel them and remove the arils easily without having to sit plucking them out individually with a pin all afternoon - although that was a favourite activity as a kid. 😝

The pomegranate is from the berry family & has been grown since ancient times in Turkey. The fruit has many health benefits & tastes great.

The weather today has been so much better than forecast. Lots of cloud, light rain at sea level for a few minutes, late afternoon.
We've just been down Çalış Beach with friends and the clouds were just gathering again so we made a dash for it. 😁

Final day of the first ever Dalyan Pomegranate Festival, today, to celebrate pomegranate season. It's also cauliflower season, too.
And it's no coincidence that foods that are in season together often taste great together.
We LOVE this pairing and the base sauce just finishes it all off, perfectly! 🥰
