Had a fabulous day at Okehampton show today despite the persistent drizzle.
Met a giant tortoise. Never seen one that big before. Saw a beautifully built large chicken house that i would definitely have bought had it not been 4k. Spent alot of time in the goat tent obs, chatting with Carolyn Coveney . Saw all the pigs, sheep and cattle and spent a small fortune, particularly on a new pair of shearers.
The food tent was amazing and surprised we got out of it sober. The craft gins in there were to die for. Chris Calkin's back pack was weighing very heavy by the time we left.
All in all it was a fab day out.

The Kiftsgate never fails to flower in its huge abundance of heavy scented flowers. Still loads more to come out.
