Let’s hope it starts to rain soon so we don’t have to keep doing this! We’re very lucky that our arena doesn’t get deep but it is inevitably going to be dusty so keeping the surface watered avoids the horses inhaling the dust whilst being exercised 👌

The benefits of group turnout. The girls are very happy to be out together following their quarantine period since they moved to the yard.

Thank you to everyone at the yard for a monumental effort of merging 4 fields into one today so these girls had space to be out in a herd. The heat did not make it any easier! 🥵

Our lovely 20m x 40m floodlit arena is available to hire. Non-wax surface. Post and rail. And amazingly it is not deep at all despite the dry weather! Plenty of parking available. Currently no jumps available but we are happy for people to use the arena to practice for gradings, free schooling, etc, due to the high fencing.

We would also consider letting people park at the farm to go out hacking if anyone is interested.

A fresh arena for a fresh start at the farm 💚

Finally! The arena is now fenced properly (with 6 foot 4 rail fencing with the foal gradings in mind) and thank you to MC Equine Surfaces for this awesome Tow Master. Once the new arena is built, this will be used for all weather turnout pens as we may need something a bit bigger for the new arena 🙈 for now, this arena will be used for backing the young horses and getting the foals graded, and will also be available for hire and clinics in due course. Watch this space 👀

Another “work in progress” post. It’s so rewarding to clear out all the overgrown chaos that’s accumulated over the last couple of years.

It’s said that trees, plants, and nature reflect the environment and people around them and we’re looking forward to giving the place the environment it needs to thrive again. I mean how does someone kill a willow tree, they’re unkillable!

The first photo is July last year in the sale photo, all the way through to now. Now to decide what to do with it, do we make it another big entrance to the fields or do we plant it up with a low level flower bed 🤔

Thank you again to Glide Gardeners for all your work so far on this massive project. It’s so exciting to be working to create a blank canvas ready to start afresh 😁
