Kozel

Kozel Please only share our posts with those that are of legal drinking age. Well in our native tongue ‘kozel’ means goat. But enough about us.

Hello and welcome to our cottage nestled here amidst the gently rolling ROFLs of Facebook. We journey all the way from a small village in the Czech Republic called Velké Popovice to bring you barrels full of our local delicacy, Kozel lager.

“What’s with the name?” you may wonder. That’s right, we like goats so much we named our award winning 4% ABV Czech lager after them. In fact, ever since we

began brewing the stuff way back in 1874 we’ve kept goat mascots here in the brewery. They ward off intruders and keep an eye on our brewing process to ensure only the finest ingredients and locally sourced spring water go into every batch of our fermented concoction. Sure brewery goats may sound a bit absurd, but they’re a big reason Kozel is now enjoyed by over 8 million people across the world (officially outnumbering our entire village population by a mere 7,996,922 humans). It’s nice to have you here, please make yourself at home and if you ever find yourself in Velké Popovice please stop by for a pint and a pet.
