We hope Christmas has been happy and relaxed so far. Our pine cone lamp shade has taken a bit long than expected to finalise, mainly because Flu wiped me out for over a week.

This large pine cone lamp shade is now for sale. Dimensions are 30cm wide at its widest point and 36cm deep/long. £60 each assembled. We can offer them in flat-pack form for posting but suggest that, unless we cannot arrange collection/delivery, you order an assembled lamp.

This lamp shade is constructed from 3mm Birch plywood and comes unfinished as standard. We can offer either a natural danish oil finish or a darker mahogany style oil finish for an additional fee. They are supplied with a 30mm central hole for attaching to a standard pendant light fitting. They are reasonably heavy so we do suggest that you check the pedant and ceiling rose have suitable strain relief cable clips (most do) to keep the weight of the shade off the electrical connectors.

These lamp shades should be used with either LED or CFL lamps to keep temperatures relatively low. It should be noted that these are a decorative lamp shade and do limit the amount of light which is let out of the fitting.

We received a lot of very positive comments about the pineapple lamp we posted pictures of a few months back. As mentioned at the time, it wasn't our design and so we were unable to sell any. Since then I have been brainstorming ideas and scribbling sketches on the back of napkins. Recently we upgraded our main computer and so were able to use better 3d modelling software and produce decent renders.

We are happy to announce the availability of our 'Pine Cone' lamp shade. Available in two sizes. Pictures below include one of our 3d renders as well as shots of the first prototype of the small lamp shade. Revisions and improvements have been made and they are now available for sale.
