Making cakes in this heat is not for the weak π₯΅
This is a 3 layer blackforest cake with a white chocolate ganache coating, rather than buttercream, for extra stability in this heat! The filling is a vanilla buttercream and homemade cherry jam made with the cherries from our allotment π
The oven isn't off just yet though, we still have plenty of baking left to do ready for the Bloxham Steam And Country Fair π‘ this weekend! Find us in the food tent both Saturday & Sunday with lots of yummy bakes, our sourdough granola and homemade preserves.
(No restock in the hut this weekend due to the heat! Fingers crossed for a cooler week next week!)
