Lost Village of Dode

Cake specs:

8” bottom tier: Victoria Sponge with strawberry jam
6” middle tier: chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream
4” top tier: faux tier

All covered with white chocolate ganache coloured cream & sage. Wrapped with the most GORGEOUS dried flower crowns between the tiers.

This design was perfect for the beautifully rustic/medieval Lost Village of Dode. Honestly, I have been dying to do a cake at this venue, it’s amazing 😭 I can’t believe I didn’t even get a peak inside the church!!!

Anyway, thank you so much for trusting me with your vision - this cake rocked!!

This wedding has been booked in for almost 2 whole years - safe to say this cake was well & truly worth the wait 🤭

Cake specs:
Bottom tier - 10” lemon drizzle with lemon curd
Second tier - 8” Victoria sponge with strawberry jam
Third tier - Prop Options gold separator
Top tier - 4” vegan & gluten free lemon and raspberry

All finished in a semi-naked white chocolate ganache covering (top tier with vegan buttercream)

I honestly can’t put into words how grateful I am for the couples who have put me forward for this award! ✨ 20 WEDDING AUGUST IS DONE ✨

Yup, you read that right. Twenty bloody weddings!!!!! The busiest month I have ever had, and almost half of the weddings I did for the entirety of last year completed in one month.

We’ve had single tier, dessert tables, four tiers, PropOption separator tiers. Rustic weddings, traditional weddings. Micro weddings, 200 person weddings. Medieval weddings, big rainbow-themed pride weddings.

I have done it ALL.

And f**k me. I’m PROUD 🤘🏻

I love my job SO much and I cannot believe I get to call this my career! Sure… sometimes I feel like I don’t leave the four walls of my kitchen. But this month has been something else 🥹

I also spent so much time with my amazing friends with a lot of pub evenings, BBQs and even managed to get away for a spa weekend (how the f**k did I manage that?!). August… you’ve been amazing. But for now, over & out 🤘🏻

I am so lucky to have found such an incredible industry to be a part of. Not only do I get to bake all day everyday and actually call it my job! But I get to surround myself with the most incredible talent too!

Throwback to this FABULOUS evening at Hoad Farm Barn when they hosted Kent Wedding Circle. The food from Forky Porky’s Hogroasts was to die for! 🤤 and the company was top notch.

I have had the CRAZIEST week with three huge catering bookings from my sister company Treacle and the Tart, plus four wedding cakes!

Thursday was the most fun wedding ever, the guests were out of this world 💃🏼 didn’t get home until 1am as I was catering all evening (plus a dessert table with the wedding cake) but it was a wedding I’ll never forget! It was at The Dreys and I have been dying to get a booking there for the longest time. So thankful to T&D for having me!

Saturday was three weddings and I thankfully pulled in the most solid team to help me. Thank you to Katharine from Bluebird’s Bakehouse for setting up one of the cakes on my behalf!

We hosted our first seated wedding breakfast with a family-style grazing feast on each table, which was EPIC. Had very much been looking forward to this one as this couple were absolutely amazing and so, so kind. Alongside our candy cart displayed with a three tier cake, brownies, blondies, scones, rainbow fruit platters and cupcakes.

Then off in the evening to a farm in Bethersden for an amazing cowboy/western themed wedding where the bride and groom both wore western boots, and the groom was in full-on cowboy attire all in black with a black hat, western shirt and bolo. So, SO cool!!! 😎

Now to pick-up all my bits from the various wedding venues. Then on to FIVE weddings next week! 💅🏻

This venue boasts huge flexibility with multiple ceremony and reception areas. It also has the BEST food and even accommodation on-site!

Their team of co-ordinators (shout out to Keeley) are so friendly, welcoming and go above & beyond to ensure you have the best wedding day 🤍

🤍🤍 PART TWO 🤍🤍

At Chapel House Estate setting up this gorgeous two tier wedding cake for K&K’s big day! As you can see, this cake was a doddle to set-up using my American Buttercream recipe crusted at room temperature. I could easily pick up the tiers, even handle them on the sides of the cake without damaging them!

Cake specs:
8” & 6” two tier with four layers of sponge in each tier.
