The wait is finally over… our Charity Fashion Show is happening TONIGHT! 👗✨

We can’t wait to welcome you to Tockwith Village Hall for an evening of fashion, fun, shopping, refreshments, raffle prizes and, most importantly, raising money for Cancer Research UK. 💗

👗 Doors open: 7.00pm
✨ Fashion Show starts: 7.30pm
🛍️ Stalls open from: 7pm

🚗 PARKING: Parking at the hall is limited, so please use roadside parking where possible. There is also additional parking available at the sports field, just off the B1224 as you come into Tockwith — pass Goose Beck and the sports field is a little further on the left.

Julie will be joining us on Friday and has the very important job of capturing the evening in photos — all those lovely moments, smiles, fabulous outfits and memories! 💕

She says she’s not a professional photographer… but we’re sure she’ll do a brilliant job and we can’t wait to see the evening through her lens. 📸😊

But Angela has another very special role… she’s making our Christmas cake for the raffle! 🎄🍰 And we have high expectations because Angela has previously been a cook for Lord and Lady Harewood — so something rather special could be yours this Christmas 👌😋

💕2 DAYS TO GO 💕

As part of our count down we are trying to introduce team members who will see on the evening.

MEET APRIL — ONE OF THE AWSC TEAM

You may have seen April popping up throughout our countdown — answering questions, organising, messaging, planning… and generally making sure all the pieces of our Charity Fashion & Wellbeing Event come together! 😂❤️

April is one of the four-strong core team behind the event, working alongside Ang, Sue and Chrissie to turn that little idea which started over a get-together into something much bigger.

From contacting local businesses and friends, organising the Wellbeing Village and volunteers, helping with the fundraising and all the countless little jobs behind the scenes — there has been quite a lot to organise!

But for April, it’s not just about putting on a great evening.

It’s about bringing women together, having fun, supporting local businesses and raising as much as we can for Cancer Research UK — a cause that touches so many lives. 💗

And she’s not just help organising the event… she’s also taking part in the Shine Night Walk in York, with Ang and Chrissie, and has been putting in the training miles along the way. 🚶‍♀️

With Peggy the dog occasionally joining the training team, of course! 🐶🤭

So, from all of us behind AWSC…

Thank you for helping us turn an idea into reality ❤️

🍇 3 DAYS TO GO — MEET GOOSE BECK VINEYARD 🍇

Starting as a passion project, evolving into a full-scale vineyard…

We’re delighted that Lisa from Goose Beck Vineyard will be joining us on Friday evening. 🍇🍷

Goose Beck is a family-run vineyard and winery in Yorkshire, situated on the outskirts of Bilton-in-Ainsty in the Vale of York — practically on our doorstep in Tockwith! 🍇❤️

It’s a real family affair, with four family members, a fantastic part-time team and some wonderful volunteers all helping to make the vineyard what it is today.

And apparently the dog team work pretty hard too — particularly when it comes to keeping the birds away from the grapes at harvest time! 🐶🍇🤭

Lisa will be joining us to tell you more about Goose Beck Vineyard, their holiday cottages and their wedding and party venue.

And there’s more… 👀

🍷 You’ll have the opportunity to sample some of their wines during the evening, although wine won’t be available to purchase.

And Lisa has very generously donated one of our fabulous raffle prizes:

We’re delighted to introduce Kate Lofthouse, aka “Curly Kate”, who’ll be joining us in our Wellbeing Village on Friday! 🤭🌸

Kate is a Reflexologist, offering holistic treatments designed to be relaxing, restorative and uplifting — helping you enjoy some much-deserved time for yourself. 🥰

Her treatments can include gentle music, sound bowls, chakra balancing, angel cards and affirmation cards, creating a wonderfully relaxing experience. 🌿✨

Let’s meet Emily from The Grown Up Cake Co. and discover a little more about what she’ll be bringing to our Wellbeing Village…

🧀 CELEBRATION CAKES WITH A TWIST! 🎂

The Grown Up Cake Co. creates bespoke celebration cakes made from carefully selected cheeses, cured meats and seasonal accompaniments. Each cake is made to order and can be tailored to suit the occasion and the people it’s for — perfect for anyone who’d choose a cheeseboard over a traditional cake!

On Friday evening, Emily will have a full-size Grown Up Cake and a miniature cake on display, giving guests the chance to see them in person and chat with her about what she does.

She’ll also have a selection of small plates available to buy and try on the evening, giving you the chance to sample some of the delicious flavours and combinations she uses in her bespoke cakes.

Emily will also be taking orders on the night and chatting through ideas for upcoming birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and get-togethers.

She has kindly donated a Mini Grown Up Cake to the raffle. The winner can redeem it whenever suits them, or choose to upgrade to a full-size cake if they’re planning something a little bigger. 💕
