Something feels different about October, doesn't it? The nights draw in fast, the temperature properly drops, and somehow - even though Halloween hasn't even happened yet -we all start thinking about Christmas. 🎄

We did some digging, and it turns out 73% of our customers have a chest freezer and are already stocking up for the festive season. So this year, we thought... why should the supermarkets have all the advent calendar fun?

Well, well, well… October is here. 🍂

The clocks are about to go back, the temperatures are dropping, and frost on the ground is only a matter of time. Oh - and it's Halloween season too. 🎃

Sure, the supermarkets are already stocking Advent calendars (we're not ready either), but we've got a different reason October's one of our favourite months…

Of course, we reckon every month is pie season, if we're honest. But something about October just hits different. Maybe it's the cold snap. Maybe it's the nights drawing in. Either way - this is peak pie weather, and we're fully here for it.

Right, who else looked at the calendar today and panicked slightly? 😅

Halloween is just weeks away, the clocks go back before we know it, and somehow it's already proper 'put the big coat on' weather.

Autumn deserves better than sad, soggy lunches and don't get us started on the non-existent gluten-free meal deals in the supermarkets.

Autumn deserves a Steak and Ale pie - rich, hearty, gravy-soaked perfection, wrapped in golden pastry, and (obviously) completely gluten free, made by coeliacs for coeliacs. 🥧🍂

Sit down for this one… it's EXACTLY 3 months until Christmas Day. 🎄😱

We know, we know.

But before you spiral - here's the bit that actually matters > this is the best possible time to get your festive order sorted, while there's zero mayhem to deal with.

Let's be honest about what December actually looks like - couriers stuck in traffic, deliveries delayed by snow, rain, volume of traffic... And even worse, that horrible moment you realise you forgot to order by the early deadline and you're facing down another baked potato on the big day. Not on our watch 👌

It's the great British pork pie debate, and we need you to settle it once and for all.

Jelly. Yes, or no? 👀

Some of you can't imagine a pork pie without it - that layer wobble of savoury jelly is half the appeal. Others? Absolutely not, thank you, keep it away from the meat.

It does play a vital role in keeping the meat fresh, and moist - but we know if you hate it, you hate it regardless!
