We seem to be at a quite sad pivotal time in our communities of Helperby & Brafferton…
We’ve had such a wonderful history of making the village a great place to be a part of. But this now could be in danger of losing a great part of it. For years we’ve had a small group of absolutely amazing people in the background make the place what it is and a wonderful place full of childhood memories for your family.
But now we really do need your help 🙏
The Helperby and Brafferton Community Association has been working together making these things that we have always enjoyed possible. Watching your kids running the Egg & Spoon race on Fate Day, the look of excitement and wonder of the Bonfire 🔥 💥💫☄️ & fireworks..
We as villagers are more now than we have ever been, but we need YOUR HELP
If you could help, this is the time we you most.
Can you be one of the people who make the difference and be part of our community.
Please think about our community future and help make it happen?? 🙂

Unfortunately, no one has come forward to take on the roles of Chairperson and Treasurer, so we’re now looking at an alternative way to keep our much-loved village events going.
We’re hoping that an already established local group, with existing support, volunteers and a team in place, may be interested in taking over the organisation of the events, one or all!
This would be a fantastic opportunity to bring these much-loved traditions into an existing group and help ensure they continue for years to come. 🎉
If your group might be interested, or you’d like to find out more, please get in touch! 😄
We’d love to hear from you! 🧡
