The Golden Oriole, known as Bicho-Gogia in Georgian, is the bird whose springtime call is recognized by everyone in Kakheti. Ornithologist-turned-winemaker Giorgi Rajebashvili named his Rkatsiteli after this bird, featuring its elegant image on the label. Later, Giorgi’s friends—Sandro Adamia and Irakli Evdoshvili, joined him. In Kvemo Khodasheni, they expanded their wine making efforts, producing Kisi, Mtsvane, Khikhvi and Saperavi, leading to the birth of a new brand: Ugly Fellas’ Wine—a product of friendship, passion, and joy.
