This is where our baobab begins. 🌿

In northern Ghana, near Bolgatanga, baobab trees are part of a landscape—and a food tradition—that has existed for generations.

This is where our baobab is harvested.

Before it becomes the powder in one of our bags, it begins here: growing naturally, harvested locally, and connected to the people and communities who know this tree best.

For us, knowing where our food comes from matters. So does making sure more of the value created from it stays close to where it began.

From Bolgatanga, Ghana—to promising students facing extraordinary circumstances. We're all about a very short supply chain and a very big purpose. 🇬🇭

Unlike most fruits, baobab naturally dries while it’s still hanging on the tree. 🌳

This remarkable fruit has been valued across Africa for generations, and today it can make its way from the baobab tree to your kitchen, benefitting academic scholarships along the way.

There’s something about a baobab at night. 🌙

During the day, you notice its size. At night, you really notice its shape — those unmistakable branches stretching out against the sky.

It’s easy to understand why these trees have inspired stories for generations.

Baobab doesn’t have to complicate your routine. 🌿

A spoonful can be an easy addition to foods you already love — blend it into a smoothie, stir it into yogurt or oatmeal, or add it to your favorite drink.

Naturally rich in fiber and vitamin C, baobab is a simple way to bring a little goodness from the Tree of Life into your everyday routine.

How would you add baobab to your day? đź’›

The baobab knows how to see the big picture. 🌳💧

Built to withstand long dry seasons, baobab trees store water in their massive trunks—an incredible adaptation that helps them thrive in some of the world’s toughest environments.

It’s just one of the many reasons the baobab has earned its name: The Tree of Life. 🌿

Bright. Tangy. A little unexpected.

🌳 So… what does baobab actually taste like?

If you've never tried it, baobab's flavor can be a little hard to describe.

It's naturally tangy and slightly tart, with a subtle sweetness that makes it surprisingly versatile.

Think of something somewhere between citrus and a mild fruitiness—with its own distinctive character.

That's part of what makes baobab powder so fun to experiment with.

Try it in:

🥭 Smoothies
🥣 Oatmeal
🍶 Yogurt
🥤 Drinks
🍪 Baked goods

A little can go a long way, so start small and adjust to your taste.

Have you tried baobab before? What did you think?

🌳 Why is the baobab called the “Tree of Life”?

You might have heard baobab described this way—but where does the name come from?

Across parts of Africa, baobabs have long been valued for the many ways they can support people and communities.

The fruit can be used as food and made into drinks. The leaves can be eaten, and the seeds can be used in different traditional foods. The trees themselves can also provide shade and shelter.

And there’s something remarkable about the tree’s ability to live in some of Africa’s hottest and driest landscapes.

The baobab’s enormous trunk can store large amounts of water, helping it survive long periods of drought.

🌳 A tree that provides food, shade, resources, and resilience?

It’s easy to understand why the baobab has earned such a meaningful name.
