Zlatan Ibrahimović and Helena Seger have been together since 2002.

Over the years, they have built a life together and welcomed two sons, yet they have never felt the need to get married.

Zlatan once joked that he avoided marriage because he didn't want to risk losing half of his fortune if they ever divorced.

After spending nearly 20 years together, he finally decided to propose to Helena.

To his surprise, she said no. 😅

Helena explained, "I don't need to marry you to prove that we're together. We already have two boys."

Rather than being upset, Zlatan accepted her decision with respect.

He later said he admired her even more because she was honest and didn't feel pressured to say yes just because he had proposed.

In his usual humorous style, he added that he wouldn't ask her a second time.

Despite never getting married, Helena, who is 11 years older than Zlatan, has remained by his side for more than two decades.

Their relationship is a reminder that every couple has their own way of defining love and commitment, and what works for one may not work for another.

We need clean and well-maintained drainage systems, more equipment and resources for the Ghana Fire Service, proper waste collection, and strict monitoring of how Zoomlion processes garbage and manages bin collection.

Flooding is not just a natural disaster. Poor waste management, blocked waterways, and weak enforcement make it worse. It is time for all of us, from citizens to authorities, to play our part.

Let’s stop talking prayers and churches and start acting. Ghana deserves better.
