Dear health enthusiasts, drinking water early in the morning isn't just for fun, but rather a goal to set for a right start to your day. So you need to do it right. Doing it incorrectly can shock your system.
Therefore, choose either room-temperature or lukewarm water, never use iced water. Drink slowly on an empty stomach by sipping, rather than gulping.
Allow your early morning saliva to mix with the water which contains digestive enzymes that signal your stomach to prepare for food.
Don't forget 1 glass of water, about 250ml is enough, too much water and drinking too quickly can dilute your natural sodium levels.
Wait at least 20-30 minutes before eating breakfast. This helps your body to absorb the fluids and prevents you from diluting your stomach acid.
Finally, try adding fresh squeezed lemon juice or a fresh sliced cucumber to your glass of water. This will give you a vitamin boost and a refreshing taste.
