WHY BREASTFED BABIES CAN GO DAYS WITHOUT POOPING

Hey mama, if your breastfed baby hasn’t p**ped in a few days, don’t worry. This is very common and usually normal.

Breastmilk is almost completely digested, so there is very little waste left for your baby to pass. Babies’ digestive systems are still maturing, so their intestines may not move stool every day. Some babies simply p**p less frequently, and that is okay.

For many breastfed babies, going up to 5 to 7 days without a bowel movement can still be completely normal as long as they are feeding well, gaining weight, and their belly is soft. Call your doctor if your baby is fussy, vomiting, has a hard belly, or you notice blood in the stool.

Remember, days without p**p can still be perfectly healthy for a breastfed baby.
