αόρι - aori - means 'mountain' in cretan dialect, 100% Muscat of Spina, native Muscat clone which got its name from the community of Spina in Chania.
Of course, there is always a fascinating story behind all of the great wines. The story of Aori 😎 starts with finding a deserted vineyard in the mountains by (IG) - as he learned later, the senior owner was not able to take care of it anymore, so the vineyard was abandoned for years, but more than 70yo vines were left in great condition.
Planted on granit and slate soils at 810m altitude in Lefka Ori - the White Mountains. Ancestral vines rooted on the terraced slopes facing Temenia village. Hand-harvested grapes.
Dry, fresh and vivid, with a good balance of acidity and white flowers and peaches aromas.
Efharisto Vasilis from Corinna Star for recommending this beautiful wine! 🙌🏼
