Next Saturday, our good friend Derek McElwaine takes on an incredible challenge to raise funds for Knockbride GFC Juveniles. 💙💛

Derek will be climbing Croagh Patrick with a 25kg bag of meal on his back! 💪⛰️ And he won’t be alone — members of the U15s team will be taking on Croagh Patrick alongside their coach.

A brilliant challenge for a brilliant cause, helping to raise much-needed funds for equipment and everything that goes into supporting our juvenile players. ⚽

👏 Best of luck to Derek and all the U15s taking part!

🎉 KNOCKBRIDE FESTIVAL – VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION NIGHT & CHARITY PRESENTATION 🎉

Knockbride Festival Committee would like to invite all of our wonderful volunteers and helpers to our Volunteer Appreciation Night in The Bridge Tavern, Canningstown, on Saturday 26th September at 9pm. ❤️

A festival of this size simply could not happen without people giving their time, energy and a helping hand. Every single contribution, big or small, helped make Knockbride Festival the fantastic community day that it was. 🥰

So now it’s our turn to say thank you! ❤️

🎥📸 LOOKING BACK ON SOME OF OUR KNOCKBRIDE FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS! ❤️💚

What a fantastic day Knockbride Festival 2026 was! 🙏

A massive well done and thank you to Dylan Byrd, who did a brilliant job capturing photos and videos throughout the entire day. It’s so lovely to have all these memories to look back on. ❤️

📸 We were also thrilled to have Shirley Hall capturing the day, taking hundreds of fantastic photographs covering so many different parts of the festival.

🚁 And a huge thank you to Katie Cooney for her amazing drone footage, giving us a completely different view of the festival and just how much was happening!

Between the photos, videos and drone footage, we have some incredible memories of a very special day for our community.

🎉 CHILDREN’S ENTERTAINMENT – KNOCKBRIDE FESTIVAL 🎉

Our children’s entertainment was a massive hit at Knockbride Festival! 🥰🎪 It was fantastic to see so many children enjoying everything that was on offer throughout the day. ❤️💚

🌾 A huge thank you to Jennifer & Geraldine from AgriKids Farm Safety, who stayed in our Children’s Marquee all day and were a fantastic addition, teaching the children all about farm safety in a fun and engaging way.

🎨 Well done to Allie Collins, winner of the AgriKids colouring competition! 👏

Inside our Children’s Marquee, there was plenty to keep little hands busy all day with colouring, loom-band making and Jenga. 🎨🧩

🎩 Thanks so much to Sean Galligan for his brilliant magic and puppet shows – the children absolutely loved them!

🎨 A massive thank you to JoJo for the fantastic face painting. The children were delighted with their designs – you are one very talented lady!

🎡 We were also delighted to welcome Frances Hudson and John Clancy with their amusements. The teacups and slide brought a real funfair feel to the festival and were a huge hit with the children! 🎠

🥚 Thanks to Derek for running the Egg Throwing Competition, which was great fun and got plenty of laughs!

⚽ A huge thank you to William Heatherton for the King of the castle for the fantastic Penalty Shootout. A special mention to Hannah for sourcing it at such short notice and to Derek for collecting it from Oldcastle – it was certainly well used!

🏁 Thanks to Steven & Peter Higgins for hosting our Wheelbarrow Races, to everyone who helped and to those who kindly loaned us wheelbarrows. Such a simple activity, but the kids absolutely loved it!

🦆🚜 And a huge thank you to Liam Clarke & Martin Carroll for supervising and running the Digger Ducks all day – loved by the little kids and maybe even more by some of the big kids! 😂

A massive thank you to everyone who helped with our children’s entertainment. There was something happening all day and it was wonderful seeing so many happy faces enjoying Knockbride Festival. ❤️💚

🌸🌺 CORLEA BLOOMS AT KNOCKBRIDE FESTIVAL 🌺🌸

Knockbride Festival was delighted to welcome Robert Boylan from Corlea Blooms, located between Kingscourt and Bailieborough. 💐

Robert brought along a beautiful display of flowers and gave a really interesting flower demonstration and Q&A. Lots of people stopped by to listen, learn and ask Robert questions about flowers and floral displays. 🌷🌿

Robert also had the most beautiful fresh bouquets for sale, adding plenty of colour to the festival! 💐

A huge thank you to Robert for coming along, sharing his knowledge and being part of Knockbride Festival. ❤️

Thanks also to Hannah for assisting Robert during the demonstration and to Dylan for capturing some great footage for us on the day. 📸🎥

🚜💪 DYNO TESTING RESULTS – KNOCKBRIDE FESTIVAL 2026 💪🚜

Well done to everyone who took part in the Dyno Testing at Knockbride Festival! Here are all the results from a brilliant day of putting the tractors to the test and finding out just how much horsepower was under the bonnet! 🔥🐎

A massive thank you to Graham Howell and Ronan McCabe for their hard work on the Dyno throughout the day. 👏

Thanks also to every single person who entered their tractor and to everyone who came along, watched and supported the Dyno Testing. 🚜

A great amount of money was raised towards our chosen charities, which is what the day was all about. ❤️

The Dyno Testing was a fantastic addition to Knockbride Festival 2026 and certainly created plenty of interest throughout the day!
