🌧️🐧 Cherry Orchard junior parkrun – Run Report #234
27/09/2026 — The day we nearly needed an ark

Lads… the RAIN.
Not “a bit wet.”
Not “bring a jacket.”
We’re talking full-on sideways rain, puddles big enough to host a small dolphin, and volunteers wondering if they should start gathering animals two‑by‑two.

But did our juniors stay in bed?
Absolutely not.
Seven little legends turned up and splashed their way around the course like it was the Olympics of puddle‑jumping.

🏃‍♂️💦 Our Splash Squad
Arda – flew around like he had fins.

Annabelle – gliding through puddles like a Lucan Harriers mermaid.

Emre – soaked but unstoppable.

Donnacha – battling the elements like a warrior.

Lena – smiling through the storm.

Tinashe – steady, strong, and absolutely drenched.

Katie – FIRST EVER junior parkrun!
Katie, if you can survive that weather, you’re officially one of us.
It only gets easier from here… well… usually.

🌧️🦆 Massive Shout‑Out to Margaret
Before anyone else even peeked outside, Margaret was out doing the course check.

She waded through puddles, checked every corner, and still came back smiling.
Margaret, you’re the hero of the day.

🎉 Big News for Next Saturday
One of our core team Junie hits her 250th milestone next week — and she’ll be celebrating over at Corkagh parkrun.
If you’re heading that way, give her a big Cherry Orchard cheer.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ See You Next Sunday
Same time, same place — hopefully with fewer puddles and fewer animals lining up two‑by‑two.
