We were delighted to recently welcome the Mullingar Chamber of Commerce for their first summer regional meeting, held on Friday, 5th June at Tullynally Castle & Gardens, The Stables Tea Rooms, and the Castle Varagh Hotel, Castlepollard.

It was a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to engage directly with key decision-makers from both the local area and national government.

We were honoured to welcome Peter Burke TD, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Robert Troy TD, representatives from Westmeath County Council, including Alfie Devine, local elected representatives, and members of the Chamber leadership team.

A special congratulations to Suzanne McEvoy on her recent appointment as President of the Mullingar District Chamber of Commerce. We wish her every success in the role.

The morning began with tea and coffee on arrival at The Stables Tea Rooms, followed by a private guided tour of Tullynally Castle with Eliza Pakenham and Octavia Tulloch.

Guests then enjoyed an engaging Q&A and open discussion with Minister Peter Burke before continuing to the Castle Varagh Hotel for lunch, where they sampled a wonderful selection of locally sourced produce.

Thank you to the Mullingar Chamber of Commerce for choosing to host your event with us. It was a pleasure to welcome everyone, and we thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the exciting plans and opportunities ahead for the Chamber and the wider business community.

A Living Piece of Irish History

The estate has been in the care of the Pakenham Family for generations, making it one of Ireland’s longest continuously inhabited country houses.
