What a fantastic two days we had at Tesco Celbridge! ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time, energy, and support to help us spread the word about Feed Kildare. Your kindness and generosity made such a difference.

We are so grateful for all the donations collected in the trolleys over the two days. This amazing support means we can store the food and use it to support our service when we officially open in August.

Thank you all so much for helping us make a difference in our community ❤️

🎉 Tonight is a big milestone for Feed Kildare!

Our very first volunteer training takes place tonight at 7pm, and we are incredibly grateful for every person who has stepped forward to be part of this journey.

In just 9 weeks, Feed Kildare will open its doors to the community, providing food, practical support, and a welcoming place where people are treated with dignity, respect, and care.

What started as a vision is quickly becoming a reality, and we can’t wait to welcome people through our doors in August.

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered, donated, encouraged, and supported us so far. This is only the beginning.

This week felt like a really special milestone for Feed Kildare. ❤️

What may look like “just” a fridge and freezer to some represents something so much bigger to us. It represents dignity, hope, provision, and a practical way to love and support people and families in our community.

We are incredibly grateful to for generously donating these to help make the vision of Feed Kildare possible. Your kindness and generosity will have an impact far beyond what can be seen today.

We also want to say a huge THANK YOU to the amazing people who helped move and position them into place. It was no easy task and definitely a tougher job than expected. We are so grateful for the time, effort, heavy lifting, sweat, and willingness to serve. You know who you are, and we genuinely couldn’t have done it without you.

Moments like this remind us that community is built together. So many people giving what they can, serving where they can, and believing in something bigger than themselves.

We are working hard behind the scenes and are excited to officially launch Feed Kildare this August. We truly believe this will become a place of hope, dignity, kindness, and practical support for many across our community.

Thank you for believing in the vision with us. The best is still to come.

🌟 We Still Need Volunteers! 🌟

Feed Kildare is getting closer to launch, and we are still looking for amazing people to join the team and help make a real difference in our community.

We are currently looking for volunteers who would be willing to help with:

🛒 Collecting surplus food from local shops
📦 Tuesday evening set up
🥕 Running the social supermarket on Wednesdays (between 9am–2pm)
🧹 Wednesday afternoon pack down

Whether you can help every week or in a specific role, we would love to hear from you. No special experience needed, just a heart to serve and be part of something meaningful for Kildare.

That’s why we’ve been working behind the scenes to launch Feed Kildare —
a social supermarket that brings dignity, choice, and real support to people in our community.

🌿 We’ll be at Know Your Community – Celbridge 🌿

We’re really looking forward to being part of this upcoming community day and we’d love for you to come by and say hello.

We’ll have a stand there sharing about Feed Kildare — a new initiative we’re developing to help tackle food poverty in our community through a social supermarket model. It’s all about bringing dignity, choice, and practical support to individuals and families who are feeling the pressure of the rising cost of living.

If you’d like to hear more about the heart behind it, how it will work, or how you can get involved, we’d love to chat with you.
