If you've been inside an Irish supermarket you've probably seen the new honey labels that are being rolled out π― Here are some tips on how to make sure you're getting real Irish honey:
π Try to get it direct from a beekeeper if you can. Don't be afraid to ask them questions, most of us are more than happy to explain where our apiaries are and how we harvest our honey π
π Avoid big chain supermarkets and try your local farmers' market, health food shop or butchers.
π Look at the type of honey you're buying. Certain types of honey, such as acacia and manuka cannot be produced here due to our differing climate.
And if you're looking to get some raw Tipperary honey, you can always shop on our website or visit us at a market!
Hope you found this helpful and comment if you have any questions π― Let's keep the conversation going and spreading awareness!
