Congratulations to Paudie O’Dwyer and Thomas Reilly on reaching the semi-finals of the FBD Young Farmer of the Year 2026.

It is a fantastic achievement to be selected to represent their farms and families in such a prestigious competition and a great recognition of their commitment to farming and the agricultural sector.

Wishing Paudie and Thomas every success in today’s semi-finals. We are very proud to have two excellent representatives flying the flag for Limerick. 💚🤍

Best of luck to you both!

On Wednesday we hosted the 1st Munster Regional Meeting on CAP in the Limerick Racecourse. 🎤

The crowd in attendance showed how important it is for us to retain our original CAP budget. Farmers can’t be asked to do more with less!

Thanks to Senator Joanne Collins - Sinn Féin for attending our CAP meeting tonight.

Limerick farmers cannot afford to lose €12m a year from their payments. Limerick farmers need more money for the work they do, not less.

A massively engaged crowd this evening in Limerick Racecourse at our Munster Regional meeting.
Lots of questions, concerns and thoughts on the next CAP.

Tonight is about making sure Limerick farmers’ voices are heard. 🚜

With major decisions around the future of CAP and farm incomes ahead, we need farmers in the room, asking questions and having their say.

📍 Come along to tonight’s Limerick IFA meeting
🗣️ Hear what’s happening, what it could mean for your farm, and what IFA is fighting for.

Don’t leave it to someone else to speak for you!
Turn up tonight and have your say.

Everyone welcome. Please share and bring a neighbour! 💪🌱

❗️Tonight❗️ We hope to see you there to make sure your thoughts on the next CAP are heard. 🎤

Thanks to MEP Billy Kelleher for calling and discussing the upcoming CAP and to Minister of State in DAFM Niall Collins TD for discussing the drought and fodder issues in Limerick.

Now that Limerick Show is over, it can rain now. ☔️😅
