Next up on our “Feature Friday!”⭐️ series is Moo’ghna Milk. Founded by John and Jackie Vaughan, they currently have 3 Milk Vending locations across Clare.

Milking 50 cows all year round on their dairy farm in Moughna Co. Clare they constructed their own pasteurisation facilities in the farmyard beside their milking parlour. After the cows have been milked, the milk is gently pasteurised and transported to the self servicing milk vending machines located in timber huts in Ennis, Miltown Malbay and their newest location in Ennistymon. A choice of 8 different flavours is available to the customers.

From beginning the process to completion, it took the Vaughans just over a year and a half to begin trading and after 2 years of hard work they have invested over €400,000 into their venture.

LEADER funding was vital for the Vaughans to get where they are now after receiving €150,000 to help them with their venture after receiving their license from the Department of Agriculture in order to sell their milk directly to customers.

Introducing our new weekly series “Feature Fridays!”⭐️ Every week we are turning the spotlight on the fantastic businesses and farms that use our Bainne Bot Milk Vending Machines.

First up is Boora Bainne founded by Paul Molloy. Farming since 1968, Paul and his family currently Milk 140 cows daily in his hometown of Boora, Co. Offaly. Paul was one of the very first farmers to set up a Milk Vending Machine in Ireland and appeared on RTE’s Ear to the Ground in January 2022.

Selling his fresh milk daily from a hut on his farm near the well known local tourist attraction Lough Boora Discovery Park, on the road between Blue Ball and Cloghan, Paul’s number one priority has been focusing on his product and has been overwhelmed by the support is has got from his local community and beyond.
