During the off season some of the guys turn to different styles of fishing and different species. It's always good to vary your fishing. Good luck to anyone targeting different species and styles of fishing during the summer 🎣😎🎣😎

Well done to all who attended the comps and braved the sometimes very difficult and flooded conditions to make this our most successful season yet.
Looking forward to next year's already.

As always it's a sometimes steep learning curve but we're getting there. Tinged with sadness this year after the loss of our good friend and mentor/founding member John Trimble who would have been immensely proud of all of his club members as always.

Now over the summer our attentions will turn to other species and styles of fishing with days out and overnighting as we keep in touch and make plans for next season.

Thanks everyone 🎣🎣😎😎🎣🎣😎😎

Today we laid our great friend John Trimble to rest. Thank you to all the members that were able to make it today, I know John would have been so proud of you all. It was very kind of Johns family to allow the club to help carry him on his way, it truly was a great honour. As a club we will always keep John’s memory alive and hopefully when the heartache eases we will be able to remember him with smiles on our faces. The family would like any donations in lieu of flowers to go to the RNLI. If you would like to donate please message the page. Tonight we will be raising our glasses in honour of our friend and founder member of our club.

It's with a heavy heart that we inform you that our good friend and mentor of many years has sadly passed away after a relatively short battle against cancer. We can't believe it. Its only a few weeks ago it seems that he was calling in to see how Noel Quinn was getting on with the boat. That's when he told us how serious his health was. He had so many trips to so many different hospitals over the last while. All of which he met like a champion. It hasn't been easy for him or Ann, William Trimble, John Jr. Or Colin his three sons. Not to mention all of his grandchildren who loved him so much.
Today we have lost one of our greatest friends. The one we would turn to when we needed advice or an opinion. He wasn't just a friend he was a rock we could depend on even if sometimes we disagreed we always agreed to disagree lol. He was and always will be our no.1 fishing buddy.
We love you so much John Trimble gone to fish calmer waters. ❀️❀️🎣🎣❀️❀️🎣🎣

Good day out yesterday with Lurgan Esox Club and the Spade Town Pikers in the Steven Carson memorial match.
It was nice of Lurgan Esox to invite us along to such a personal event for them.
Weather was pretty decent and thus helped the fishing. A few fish were caught with the competition being won quite fittingly by Andrew Carson with a low double figure fish. The only double of the day.
Hot dogs were provided during the day and there were plenty of prizes to be won in the raffle.
Over Β£400 was raised for their chosen charity.
It's going to be an annual event so looking forward to attending it next year too.
