👋Meet Our Interns: Lucy O’Sullivan

Every year, we are delighted to welcome college students to Kersia Healthcare and give them an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the work we do.

Our internship programme offers students the chance to learn more about the vital importance of infection prevention across the healthcare and humanitarian sectors, while also gaining practical, hands-on experience of day-to-day life in a busy, dynamic company.

Today, we’re delighted to introduce Lucy O’Sullivan, who joined us this summer. Here’s what Lucy had to say about her experience, in her own words:

Today, we’re delighted to introduce Kate Devereux, our Commercial & Strategic Partnerships Manager at Aquatabs.

Kate joined Kersia in January 2021, progressing through business development and customer relations roles before moving into her current position. With a background spanning advertising, hospitality and business development, Kate has built her career around creating meaningful relationships. She holds an honours degree in Business Studies and a master’s degree in Hospitality Management.

Today, Kate focuses on developing strategic and commercial partnerships while supporting relationships with NGOs, governments and other organisations working to improve access to safe water.

Her commitment to collective action also extends beyond Aquatabs. After representing Aquatabs at two Rotary International Conventions, Kate joined her local Rotary club, an organisation whose focus on building safe, healthy and sustainable communities closely aligns with her work.

At Aquatabs, we believe safe drinking water should be accessible to all. For Kate, the greatest reward is knowing that her work helps bring this goal closer to reality.

Today, we’re delighted to introduce our Aquatabs Commercial Director, Robert Cooper

After several years in the food industry, Robert joined the Kersia Healthcare team in October 2020. Moving into a new sector brought a fresh learning curve, along with plenty of new challenges and opportunities.

Since joining, Robert has enjoyed gaining a deeper understanding of the different areas of the business and seeing first-hand the positive impact our products and partnerships can have on the communities we serve.

Working across African markets, challenges around funding, access and education are always present. However, with the continued support of our existing partners and a strong focus on developing new partnerships across the region, Robert and the wider team continue to tackle these challenges together.

For Robert, one of the most rewarding parts of his role is meeting new partners, understanding the challenges they face and working collaboratively to develop practical, long-term solutions. Building strong, lasting relationships that support our partners and the wider communities in which they operate is what makes the work so worthwhile.

Robert is looking forward to continuing to strengthen existing relationships, build new partnerships and help make a positive difference across the markets we serve.
