MISTAKES NEW GRADUATE MAKE AS THEY ENTER THE JOB MARKET
1. Demanding for more than they can deliver.
When you have just graduated, you have a flesh mind filled with theoretical formulae. Man, those formulae mostly don't solve real problems on the ground but experience does. It's so unrealistic that you have just graduated with neither experience nor strong personal brand but you want to charge more than the old folks with the same paper you have and 10 years of experience. Start small, build a brand and a structure. Afterward you can increase the cost of your value.
2. Nomadic mindset
Keeping in moving from 1 job to another thinking that it improves their CV. Within one year of graduating your CV has 12 companies. Changing a job every month doesn't reflect experience but lack of discipline. Your CV shows that you worked for a maximum of 1 month for every company, what makes you you think that i will think u will stay with me?
No madam, every company needs someone who can stay long after knowing the work. Every work place will have a problem, the key is gglearning how to survive. You can move yes but know the right time to do that.
3. Competiting instead cooperating and seek mentorship from the seniors.
You don't have compete for power or recognition from the boss in a way that undermine others. Deliver with competence while respecting others, your supervisors or you manager will decide what to do with you. Ask your seniors if there is something you don't understand. Not competing doesn't mean that you should shrink for mediocrity, respectfully strive to deliver the better results.
