🐟 Special Fish Nirvana – A Royal Seafood Delight! 🍛
🔥 Fish Nirvana is a rich, creamy, and flavorful dish that blends the best of Kerala spices and coastal flavors. Perfectly cooked fish fillets are simmered in a coconut-based gravy with aromatic spices, making it a must-try at AKG Events & Caterings and Food Court!
📝 Ingredients:
For Marination:
🔸 500g Fish fillets (Seer Fish/King Fish preferred)
🔸 1 tsp Turmeric powder
🔸 1 tsp Red chili powder
🔸 1 tsp Pepper powder
🔸 1 tbsp Lemon juice
🔸 Salt to taste
For the Gravy:
🔸 2 tbsp Coconut oil
🔸 1 Onion (finely chopped)
🔸 2 Green chilies (slit)
🔸 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
🔸 1 Tomato (pureed)
🔸 1 tsp Coriander powder
🔸 ½ tsp Garam masala
🔸 1 cup Thick coconut milk
🔸 ½ cup Fresh cream
🔸 1 tsp Sugar (optional, to balance flavors)
🔸 Curry leaves & Coriander leaves for garnish
👨🍳 Preparation:
1️⃣ Marinate & Fry Fish:
Mix the fish with turmeric, chili powder, pepper, salt, and lemon juice.
Let it rest for 30 minutes.
Shallow fry the fish in coconut oil until golden brown. Set aside.
2️⃣ Prepare the Nirvana Gravy:
In the same pan, heat more coconut oil, sauté onions, green chilies, and ginger-garlic paste until golden.
Add tomato puree, coriander powder, and garam masala. Cook until the oil separates.
Pour thick coconut milk and fresh cream. Stir well.
Add a pinch of sugar to balance flavors.
3️⃣ Bring It All Together:
Gently place the fried fish into the gravy.
Simmer for 5 minutes on low flame to absorb flavors.
4️⃣ Garnish & Serve:
Add fresh curry leaves and coriander leaves.
Serve hot with appam, ghee rice, or Kerala parotta!
