Checked one of the major bucket lists in my life. Exploring the great ocean road and the twelve apostles . One of the greatest coastal roads which had been hand chiseled by World War I veterans . The limestone karsts denuded over the centuries by the expansive Southern Ocean . The Great Otway National park which still has the last sliver of temperate rainforest with all the ancient ferns of Gondwanaland still intact and the real highlight , observing a cute Koala sleeping in the swaying leaves of Eucalyptus tree. What a privilege! Australia, my favourite till date!

*A sitcom in three acts, this one.*

Act I: I sprinted to the station like a man chasing his own destiny, lungs on fire, dignity on the platform floor only to discover, hours later and several stops too late, that destiny had actually booked its ticket for *tomorrow.* Comedy doesn’t knock, apparently. It just books the wrong date.

Act II: Enter Tirunelveli’s finest , a squadron of Rapido drivers with the temperament of monsoon clouds who, after much grumbling and negotiating, I decided to take the train itself to Ambasamudram. And what a reveal: whitewashed houses leaning gently against the Western Ghats, the whole town humming with Konjum Mainakkale energy, like it stepped straight out of a soft-focus film reel.

Act III: All that chaos, it turns out, was just the universe clearing its throat before the real show : and Soorya, tying the knot in a ceremony so tender it left every heart in the room a little softer. A radiant bride , a groom clutching her hand like letting go wasn’t in his vocabulary. Love, it seems, really does win even over eventually :)

Bonus round: made some brilliant new friends in .ben_n and , and somewhere between the vows and the visiting, a pineapple chutney I still can’t get over 🍍

One of the most beautiful things about Atlanta was spending quality time with my bestie , a person who gave me a safe space before the world did . 2 decades of knowing each other , it is still the same , 2 goofy people who get each other . As you move from one momentous occasion to another , I can’t be more thrilled for you Sat ! Thank you for being there in my life and making me the person I am today . Forever indebted 🌈✨

One of the most chill holidays I have ever had is recently in Dibrugarh, probably the eastern most place I have ever been to ,in Mainland India . While the rest of India was blistering hot , Dibs was a cool 24 degrees and spent most of my time in the beautiful Mancotta tea estate and rest of the time observing the water hyacinths swirling in the majestic Brahmaputra river. Dear Assam government, please pay some attention to the cleanliness of the town though. There is so much you can do to promote tourism in this place

Things I loved in Dibrugarh. Axomiya cuisine is one of my most favourite cuisines in the world and I can’t deny food and produce is one of the major reasons why I love visiting Assam. It is one of the most biodiverse regions in the world . The food is light, clean tasting and super flavorful. The innumerable native tribes , the lifeline of river Brahmaputra, the various communities which has now made Assam home make it a cultural hotpot . Scroll the images to see my favorites.

Mars-like scenery... or Taiwan’s rugged north coast. 🌊🏜️
Behind this stunning landscape lies 20 million years of geological history. These sedimentary rocks formed beneath the Miocene sea before tectonic shifts pushed them upward. Now, they face the relentless North Coast winds.
From the Queen’s Head to the pineapple bun to Sea Candles, nature’s sculpted these rocks into masterpieces. It’s a literal walk through time. ⏳✨
• Tip: Don’t miss the golden hour – the iron-rich rocks light up against the ocean.

In the quaint village of Lepakshi, about 100 km from Bengaluru in Andhra Pradesh, stands a 16th-century marvel from the Vijayanagara Empire. Often overshadowed by Hampi, this temple complex is a testament to the architectural brilliance of its era. A striking monolithic serpent sculpture safeguards the Shivalinga, symbolizing cosmic protection. The twin gopurams rise majestically behind the stone corridors, set against the vast Deccan sky. As you stroll through the pillared hall, intricate carvings of various motifs catch your eye. The Vijayanagara style is distinct, with ornate pillars, mythical lion figures, narrative panels, and detailed designs. Perched atop a rocky outcrop in Rayalaseema, the temple seems to blend seamlessly into the landscape. The February sun was unforgiving, but somebody had to brave it for the gram 😹.

Throwback to my first real day in the United States, wandering through Georgia in the start of October. 🍂

Everything felt oddly familiar and completely new at the same time. Halloween on doorsteps, quiet neighborhoods, long trails by the Chattahoochee River… and me, ridiculously excited, stopping every few minutes to pick up acorns like a kid who had just discovered autumn.

Somewhere in between all that walking came the small milestones -my first meal at Waffle House, sort of an American cliche where every darn thing was processed , but I still dug into it like a novelty .Discovering what proper grits taste like, raisin bread, and later the delight of a tamale , tacos and horchata from a tiny Mexican cantina , the exact opposite of my breakfast, all natural , hearty and wholesome.

New country.
Autumn under my shoes.
Acorns in my pocket.
And the quiet thrill of realizing I was finally here. 🍁
