Srivari Cafe, Outer Ring Road, JP Nagar, Bengaluru
Craving for pocket friendly Tamil tiffin in South Bengaluru? Srivari Cafe opened 6 months ago adjacent to the flyover near Dalmia Circle is the place you shall give a try. This place isn't crowded as those who take flyover on ORR don't get a sight of this place! When I went there around 8:15am the place was empty I was afraid to order as I was the only customer there π I had negligible to no bad experience in Tamil eateries so finally ordered their 'Mini Breakfast' which includes most of their food items including Vada Curry.
100βΉ for Mini Masale Dose, Button Idly with Tamil style Sambar, Khara Bath, Kesari Bath, Vade, Vada Curry and chutneys. If you love tamil style sambar then this is the place for you, small button idlies complimented it too. It will be unfair if I talk ill about Uppittu / Kharabath as I generally don't like it. Kesaribath was good but with little sugar overdose. Vada Curry somehow I felt it wasn't fresh. Masale Dose was disappointing but will give them another chance as the Master who makes dose wasn't there and dose was made by his helper. What I loved the most there was their Uddina Vade which was authentic to the core and scored full marks. Coffee was decent.
Though I had mixed feelings as few of the items were good and few were average this place deserves few more visits atleast for Vade if not for anything. Car Parking could be an issue, hygiene is maintained well with some tamil nadu vibes. Go there to eat Tamil food which doesn't hurt your pocket and less crowd.
