So, one more year wiser â¤ď¸
Over all these years of my life, Iâve gained so many experiences. I look back at who I used to be and who I am today, and the graph of my life has truly had its ups and downsâespecially after losing my mother.â¨Here are the things I have learnt and understood along the way:
1. Iâve discovered that Iâve grown kinder as a person.
2. Peace is the greatest luxury anyone can have.
3. Everyoneâs life is different, and everyone is fighting their own battles. I donât hold jealousy or negativity in my heart. It doesnât matter to me anymore. I have never wished harm for anyone, and I never will. I am happy where I am, living life the way I always wanted.
4. My morals and values have become stronger with time.
5. My love for cooking has grown. I want to continue the legacy of our traditional, desi flavours and our cultural rituals.
6. Not everyone will share the same values or beliefsâand thatâs okay. Everyone is right in their own way. Letting go of grudges and moving forward has brought me a lot of peace.
7. Iâve learned how to say âNo.â I donât need to be available for everyone, except for my family.
8. No matter what happens, I will always keep the inner child in me alive.
9. My mother had a special qualityâshe could manage everything effortlessly. And somewhere, Iâve realised I have that in me too.
10. My mother-in-law has accepted me as her own daughter. The way she cares for and feeds her children is something I hope to carry forward in my own future.
11. And above all, I thank God every single day for all the blessings He has given me.
