As Zitter, we are looking to change the chocolate scene in Chennai, and eventually rest of India. We saw how there’s a huge difference between the kind of chocolate boutiques and offerings in the Western world vs in India. Zitter is our humble attempt to bridge that gap. We try to bring to you great looking chocolates with flavors oh so varied, the kind of things you read about or see on Masterchef and always wish you could taste. But the most special of them all about Zitter is our Indian dessert chocolates. We don’t stop with the classics and the exotics. We try bring to you as many Indian flavors as we can, like Chakkara pongal, Masala chai, Gulkhand, Paan, Gajar Halwa, Kulfi and even Lassi (ok still working on that one). Can’t get more unique right? And almost needless to mention, we use 100% pure Belgian couverture chocolate (OK you’ve no idea what couverture is.. We will post another lecture soon 📷:D ), and the finest ingredients, and high quality polycarbonate molds from Belgium.
Every week, we will put up a list of 12 – 16 flavors of bonbons that will be available the week after. We will curate a few fixed selections in boxes of 5 and 12. You can also pick and choose your box. We do boxes of 5, 12, 18 and 24. Just whatsapp or DM us. Delivery starts the Monday of the week, so you could preorder by then, or even order during the week, subject to availability.
Subject to availability?
Yes, we hand craft the bonbons in small batches and in limited quantities each week. Preordering is a safe bet, but you could order during the week also. We will be happy to suggest replacements if a chosen flavor is sold out.
What if I have some other flavor(s) in mind?
We would love to create it for you! However, we need a minimum order quantity of 5 for a flavor that is not a part of the week’s menu. And a 3 to 6 day lead time depending on how crazy our chocolatier goes that week. For example, you’re craving, say Mango Chilli, which is not a part of that week’s menu, feel free to ping us. We will create it for you as long as you order atleast 5 pieces.
Lead time?
If you preorder, we will deliver any day of your convenience from that Monday. If you order during the week, we will deliver it anytime between one hour after you order to max the day after. Customization will have a case basis lead time.
Delivery details?
Currently we deliver only within CHENNAI. A few good souls travel to Blore now n then, carrying a batch along, so BANGALORE guys please do ping and check. Within Chennai, we use a third party delivery service like Genie or Vroom to send the boxes out. We charge you for delivery, what they charge us. Transparent like that. You’re welcome to pick up your order in person from RA Puram.

Storage and shelf life?
Ok these things are delicate. Couverture chocolate starts softening at 27 degrees plus, and melts quite disastrously by 34 degrees. These bonbons need to be stored at a 20 degrees or lesser temperature. Although refrigeration of chocolates is not best practice, we don’t have a choice in Chennai. Stored under optimal conditions, our chocolates will last for 2 weeks. However, since most of our chocolates use very fresh ingredients, we recommend you consume it within a week.
How are you priced?
When directly ordered through our page or whatsapp, our box of 5 is INR 350, box of 12 will be INR 750, box of 18 is INR 1100 and box of 24 is INR 1500. We will keep coming up with new products and variations, and we will clarify the pricing of those as and when. The above price DOES NOT include delivery charge/ shipping.
What am I paying for?
You’re paying for the finest quality of chocolate, for exquisite and exotic flavors, for each bonbon being handcrafted individually and tons of involvement and passion to give you the best you’ve had.
What else should I keep in mind?
At Zitter, we believe in constant improvement. We are always on the lookout for anything that makes our chocolates taste/ look better. For a good while to come, we will be constantly experimenting with our bonbon designs and shapes till we freeze them. So you may not always receive the same design you saw in our album first. We will update the new designs as and when, but in case you miss it and receive a different one, bear with us. However, there will be no compromise on the quality and taste. Also in case of most of our hand painted designs, no 2 bonbons will look exactly the same.
Custom orders?
Glad to!! Name your flavors, ask us for more flavors and recos. Give us sufficient lead time, depending on the order size.
Bulk orders?
We would absolutely love to add more class to your weddings/ party favors/ corporate gifts with customized chocolate boxes. However we will definitely need fairly advanced notice, and a minimum order size if you want the boxes to be custom printed etc. Ping us, we will discuss directly
