Ribera del Duero is a prestigious Spanish wine region known for powerful, full-bodied red wines, primarily from the Tempranillo grape (called Tinto Fino locally) grown at high altitudes, producing grapes with thick skins and intense color, resulting in complex wines with dark fruit, oak, and spice notes, aged into styles like Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva.
